does santa claus exist or is he just a big bluff?:santa:

If he doesn't exist, who was that big fat guy in the department store with the red suit and the white beard - you know, the one with liquor on his breath who was doing unspeakable things to a little boy on his knee?

ROTFLMAO   ;)
What? Almost half of the people vote 'yes'? Holy Santa Claus!

Of course he exists. Obviously he doesn't actually exist in the usual sense but...Theres a good arguement for why he exists even though he doesn't but I can't think of it right now.

Loads of people believe in him so to them he exists and that means he does exist in a way. He also exists on wrapping paper, cards, decorations etc.

SOMETHING inspired it...Santa couldn't possibily live forever, he did exist, but he died :(

:D

nah ok, serios question here.

You know calvin? like as in calvin and hobbes? well, is hobbes real?
I mean, sure in real life nothingl ike that would happen, but in real life aliens or whatever dont exist like in movies they do. So is hobbess just alive when theres no adults around, or is he all a figment of calvins imagination?

Santa does exist. Not on the North Pole, but in people's minds as a symbol of Winter and the holidays (Christmas, etc.)

Tell me this, if kids didn't have Santa Claus to look up to, why would they celebrate Christmas? I doubt many families are very religious about Christmas, but for children, the alure of presents brings interests them.

Well if the USPS recognizes him....

He could be, but then how did Calvin push the family car into the ditch or...ok, that's off topic.

Anyway, I agree with rmsharpe.

I remeber when I learned the "Truth" about Santa Clause. It was Kindergarten. My best friend (who was a Jehovah's Witness) told me the "Truth". I was crushed. This is why I no longer have best friends.

Is this a trick question to do with the real life St. Nick?
Because as the famous story goes there was this guy who dropped preasants down this chimmely to these poor girls or something bla bla thus the legend of sanat was born.
Anyone know what i'm on about?

Of course he exists!

He exists in all of our minds.

Think about, if we are debating whether or not there is a Santa Claus, then on some level SANTA CLAUS EXISTS!

Thanks for saying what I said...

Then somebody said he agreed with you instead of me

You! tut tut Trying to turn this into a religious thread...If anyone here has read a few discworld books and like them then I would say they would vote yes...Although not everyone would just to spite me.

So...does Santa take people to the afterlife after they die during the rest of the year?

You answered your own question. When did you find out thre was no Santa? Did you want presents any less? Kids only care about presents, not Santa. I, personally can't see the point in the idea of Santa.
