YnAMP - Yet (not) Another Maps Pack

YnAMP - Development thread Civ6

I have one(or two) question for our beloved Gedemon.
Why developers of this game dont include your maps, especially Giant Earth map TSL in default maps of this game???
Since Civ IV there is HUGE interest in Giant Earth map TSL.
Now we have Civ VI but no stable version of Giant Earth map TSL that we can play with all features with no crash.
I think that many people who bought this game would like to have stable Giant Earth map (permited to take&fix from Gedemon) by default.
Is there are no way to communicate with developers?
Why they dont follow the pulse of most players of this game?

I'm unsure I want to continue modding for a game that doesn't want to be modded.

If I was to stop, is there anyone with enough Lua knowledge willing to take over YnAMP and update it for the next patches ?

Unfortunately; I doubt anyone has the abilities you have. Is there any other way to motivate you?
 
Can you explain little more. Where and what disable, floods or sea level rise. And did you finish entire game, because it crash at the end.

I'm trying now Giant Earth with 30 civilizations. I'll test and see if it crashes. One point, the color issue seems to be back again. It came during rise and fall but was fixed in GS. Now again multiple civilizations are colorless.
Example, I'm playing as India and so far the civs I discovered, Arabia, Ottoman and korea shows colorless. Any way to fix this one without restarting the whole game?
 
Actually ignore my previous concern. I subscribed to the color and Jersey overhaul mod and it fixed the issue. I'll test Giant Earth now and will share the logs in case it crashes.
 
Confirmed, sea level crash will occur after starting from scratch with new update. Firaxis really need to hire Gedemon and Seelingcat to get this all worked out!

Great work guys otherwise, you are fantastic and it must be really frustrating knowing that Firaxis don't respect your efforts enough.
 
I've started to get random crashed from 100th turn onward on epic. 30 civs, giant earth. But when I restart, it runs for about say 10-15 turns and then again crashes.
Which logs do I need to check? I can try to figure out.
 
Update: while loading my autosave I'm getting a crash with this:
This is the same error which comes after about 10-15 turns. when I load the game it works for a few next turns and again crashes.

Update, so I disabled sea level rising mid game. Crash fixed. Then a bit later I experienced the satellite reveal crash. After disabling high res geometry I was able to continue. But who knows how long for.

If this keeps thing going, I would be happy. But really this needs a permanent firaxis driven fix, pretty poor there appears to have never been an official reply.

Got one now, so I hope they be able to look at it and fix the sizes for you guys.
 
True. I raised tickets too but they say no support for mods and all. I guess will have to quit civ 6. Or atleast if they can create a map as big as giant earth.
Oh I just saw the other thread. I really hope they are able to fix the issue :)

And please everyone, contribute to that thread when possible, there is no logs/crash dump posted there for random crashes (ie not on sea rising or satellite reveal)

Preferably on a game where only YnAMP is used.
