That is totally false and you know it.
In reality it is the other way around.

How is it false? Left wingers want everything to be all fair and regulated.

On average, libertarians are more right-wing than conservatives! :p

Libertarians believe in an unregulated economy, or at the most a minimally regulated economy.

I really hope this was a mistake of some type, because otherwise this is one of the most naive statements I've heard in a long time.

Libertarians are more about freedom. In general.. left-wing economics tend to regulate and take away freedom from corporations and business's.

I do not consider a multi national corporation with no allegiance to the United States a person. Exon is NOT a person.
People should not be interfered with.
And you will say that government health care is interference.
But a majority of people a system like that.

Universal health care = What the people want.
Multi national corporation with no allegiance to the United States = There needs to be checks so it does not use its massive resources in harmful way.

Legally, that's what a corporation is though. You can sue a corporation, just as you can sue a person. It defends itself just as any individual of society will.

Unregulated corporations strip people of their basic rights.
You should study history.
Like the late 1800s in the United States.
Not a very good time to be an average person trying to survive.

There is no need for your rose-colored glasses, bro. Just calm down. The definition of a libertarian is someone who believes in minimal government restrictions in economics and social life.

Economic opportunity not economic equality

This question annoys me.

A significant advantage of a one-party state is that it avoids all the arguments that delay progress in a democratic political system.

The answer to that is clearly "yes", but it's a gauge to see how much the test taker believes in dictatorship. I hate dictatorship, but the answer is yes.

EDIT: I took the test again, deliberately answering in the opposite of what I think is right, and I got this. :)

Economic Left/Right: 7.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 7.79

My answers this time around are what I would consider "nutjob".

I was thinking that it'd be an interesting psychology experiment to take this test under different circumstances, about a week apart (so you'd have time to forget the questions and implications). Just say, after church on a day off , vs. drunk on happy hours, vs. lunch hour on the mid-week hump, vs. Monday morning 1st hour of work. Just to see if there's any variations with stresses and moods.

I believe in free markets.
But there is no free market when you have a monopoly.

Without regulations the whole system breaks down.

Its possible has todays monopol on something? Maybe with state decision to give something to one corporation or something very specific by technical or economic reasons.

@Gladi: It's called "hidden poll", that it doesn't directly poll your political view point, but poll your ideological stand which fundamentally makes your political points.

Many authoritarians are strong moralist. So emphasizing moral points hints authoritarian attitude, same applies about religion, modern art, sexuality and such.

However, I re-adjust the meaning of the questions when I myself take the test.

Many leftists and libertarians are strong moralists. Dalai Lama? Strong moralist for sure.

Also I try to keep my morals out of my politics.

It's a trick question, as it isn't actually an advantage to cut all the debate out, it's seeing your opinion.

well guess what I got!

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -8.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.08

   I never thought I would get such a score XD I have gone down left a couple of points since I last took the test.

Economic Left/Right: -0.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.51

I was expect a little more to the right, but not bad. I agree that some of the questions are a bit simplistic, but I guess it's good for ballparking. I consider myself a libertarian independent, and that's basically what I got.

Economic Left/Right: -4.13
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.77
