UNIT REQUESTS: Lion, Elephants, and Bears - oh my!

I know my previous unit requests were a bit out there (dinos and kaiju), but these are a bit more down to Earth...

What I would like to see are the following animal units. These would be used not only by Phoenix and Civolution, but I am sure the Noahs Ark team would use them. All mods could use these actually - if nothing else as barbs. I could using these in MF units for some gladiator-type scenario too.... The point is these units could be used by everyone.

Anyways a realistic rendition of these would be awesome - no people or tools - just the animals themselves performing their natural attacks. I would love to get all animations for each figure, but I will gladly take whatever I can get.

Bear - Preferrable a Grizzly. Attacks should include biting and paw swiping. Fidget could be munching a salmon or something. A Polar Bear would also be very cool. I don't know how good of a model Kinboats Panda Bear would be for this, since the attacks are so different, but it may be a good place to start.

Alligator - Or Crocodile. Attacks should be biting and tail swiping. An alligator roll would be awesome if done right, but I have the feeling this would be very difficult, so that won't be necessary. Some of the four legged PTW Dino units may be a good place to start for this.

Elephant - Considering various elephant units already exist, this should be the easiest request here. Just a plain elephant. Attacks should include tusk thrust and foot stomp/kick. A trunk swipe would be cool. Victory flc could be trumpeting, fidgeting could be spraying water on its back.

Lions - Your typical maned lion. Attacks should include biting and paw swiping. Someone did a AOK Jaguar (?) conversion that may be a good base model.

Ape/Gorilla/Orangutang - Someone started an orangutang, but I never saw any finished unit... Attacks should include biting and fist pummeling.

Rhino - The only attack I can think of would be horn thrust.

some great ideas but Great Apes like gorillas don't generaly Bite they tend to just pound your head into the ground with their fists.

Good point, although I think they can and do bite at times. Attack1 can be the bite - that only happens when the battle starts. After that units use Attack2. That can be the Fist Pummel.

At some point, I wanted to make some animals (Tiger and Lion, p.e.) but Flicster didn't like me much.

Anyway, these were supposed to be some conversion from Zoo Tycoon. I could provide the pcx I've already made and some graphics from the game, if someone wants.

Funny you mention that. Some of the new resources I have are ripped from Zoo Tycoon (see preview in resource link in sig). I am adding final touches to my last resource file now, and will have that up at all 3 Civ sites within a week. There are many new animal resources in it - about half from Zoo Tycoon.

I just got WH 2.0 and it is great!

One of the units in it is called a BeastMaster. It is an Amazon woman with a lion. This lion would be a great model for my requested one.

@Amesjustin, great idea! I would love for someone to make a lion unit it would help my mod so much. There really is a lack of earthly animal units at CFC but many mods could sure use them. The other units you mentioned don't fit in my mod but I am sure the Noah's Arc mod could use them.

@Supa, maybe you could try again by using Cyber Dreyk's Civ3Flc which started as just a flic veiwer but will soon be released with Flicster's editing capability as well or it may already be finished.

The lion you're talking about is the model from Poser 5.

I'll perhaps try to do it if I can figure out how Poser works. Note the italics

I was just thinking, That game Zoo Tycoon, would probaly be fairly easy to convert the animals from, though it would need alittle resizing. It has more then everything you asked for, and I think they would look decent in game. They even have the animations for fighting, and dying, though they are pretty toned down, since its a game for younger kids.
