History: This scenario shows a fantasy war of the first Men against Neanderthals. The chosen year was 6.000 b.C , when appeared the seed of the ancient civilizations. Remember: this is a FANTASY scenario, this war never happened, so, some dates are not correct, as the rise of Romans, Egyptians and the date of the die of the Neanderthal race.

Map: “Ancient World”, with parts of Europe, north of Africa and Middle East. It size is 180x180 and was done by myself.

Civis: Total of 12, 10 of the World of the Men and 02 of the Neanderthals one, using the alliance system of Civ3Conquests. This second race has biggest territory and better units, so 10 x 02 will a good game. The civis are:
01- Neanderthals from North (inhabitants from Europe)
02- Older Brothers (Neanderthals from Middle East)
03- Celts
04- Slavs (represented by Russians)
05- Illyrians (represented by Byzantines)
06- I.L.N.U. or Italian Languages native users (represented by Romans)
07- Proto Germanics (represented by Germans)
08- Mycenians (represented by Greeks)
09- Babylonians
10- Sumerians
11- Hittites
12- Egyptians

Please, check in my siganture link the arts of the Neanderthal leader, the unit Cave Man, the map, wondersplash and more stuffs.

If I remember correctly, there is a gasp of 5 000 years between the extinction of Neanderthals and the colonization of Europe by the first modern men.

Anyways, I've never been against some good fantasy or what-if scenario and I like this one.. So, good luck :)

tLC is right- there was indeed a VERY long overlap of thousands of year with europen neanderthals, and Humans- warfare, in the scal of inter-tribal war fare, and not necissarilyl speciies, or nation agaisnt nation would have been common, but so to would have been co-operation, and even rudimentary trade between the two

Humans are what killed off the neaderthals in Europe so there must have been overlap.

How come the top right of the map is all grassland? Is it just not finished, or do you plan to leave it like that?

When you saw the minimap image it was not finished, now it is (check the new image). I'll post this map, you can download it and give me suggestions about the terrains, click http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?postid=1694692#post1694692 to download this map, that will be used in this scenario.
Nobody know what exactly terminate the Neanderthals, I read about a strong flu present in the humans that was fatal to this race, but I don't belive an war is the cause of them death.

regards!!!

Actually, I think there is a consensus about the gasp. No cohabitation between the Europeen Neanderthals and the sapiens. At least, it is what I studied THIS year.

CivArmy, give us more info about your project. Tech tree ? :)

You see the tech tree of the firt one, remember, this is only a previous version, not the final :D This tech tree will be upgrad always in this topic (last one in march, 23)

The tech trees look good :) But, IMHO, Warrior Code shouldn't require Bronze Working, since early warriors used stones, and then copper. Bronze itself was only made later. Maybe rename 'Bronze Working' to 'Copper Working' and make a new tech 'Bronze Working' and make 'Copper Working' a prerequisite for it.
