2009 NBA Playoffs

I was referring to your prediction that the Lakers would steamroll the Rockets in 4 games.

They should have too. It was a disappointment to see a few lackluster performances from them in that series.

I really don't like these late start times for the games. I don't mind so much when its during the weekdays, but on a saturday and sunday night? Why can't these games be moved to 3:30 or 4? or even 7?

It is all about the $. They want the prime time ratings revenue. More people are likely to be home at night to watch opposed to a weekend afternoon when the weather is great & there is fun to be had outdoors.

Having said that, I agree with you. These start times suck for those of us on the east coast.

I agree with you there. The only reason the Rockets won any games after Yao exited was because of the coaching beatdown Adelman laid down on Jackson.

I was surprised by the Lakers last night. I think they have a very good chance to win the series.

I was surprised by how ugly that game was. Seriously, it was the ugliest thing I've ever seen. What is this, 90's basketball?

Yes, and Mike Fratello was secretly disguised as one of the coaches.

And the other coach must have been Pat Riley.

The times are absolutely awesome. They ensure I'm awake by the time the game starts. If anything, they should start later. :mischief:

Less than passionate play by the Lakers, seems like they are not worried about winning at home even at 2-2.

If someone doesn't start helping Lebron out more... the Cavs are in trouble. The 'Celtic
Assasin' Turkolu is playing well... He doesn't look all that special, but when he plays a solid game the Magic win :scan: .

It's over. Move on. Nobodies cares about the point guard matchup in the Lakers-Rockets series anymore (if they ever did).

Do NBA officials do their job anymore?

Seeing as I live in Europe and that pesky time differential prevents me from watching the games live, I have no clue what you're angry about right now. Blown call?

Looks like David Stern's dream final (Kobe vs. LeBron) might not be happening after all...

  • Lebron James has had an obscenely easy time picking up touch fouls
  • The last few Lakers-Nuggets games have had a ridiculous amount of fouls called, including technicals
  • The league is rescinding or adding on techs and flagrants after what seems like every game

Kraznaya picked up the general points. When I wrote that, I was in despair over the no-call that Varejo got on holding Howard from going up for a lob. That was a foul. Luckily, Howard scored 10 in overtime to make it a non-issue.
