Um, no. There's far too few people in the United States that really qualify, ideologically, AT ALL, as Fascists to pull such a stunt, and they're all as thoroughly marginalized as the REAL Communist/hard Socialists in the country. Despite their names coming up every now and then, David Duke and Gloria de la Riva are equally powerless in government, in truth.

What would you define as fascist, though? It's a very vague term that essentially only means authoritarian without being six syllables long, to many people. Obviously it's a bit more nuanced than that, but it also doesn't mean Nazi.

I honestly expected Sunday night's debate to be a conferring on policy followed by a dignified "the movement has gained influence and there's no need for primaries in the face of the pandemic" withdrawal. Instead he went for a last act of defiance finger in the air approach.

Yeah I would have bowed out gracefully, put Biden over and vowed to work with and influence the DNC from the inside.

Have a word with Biden off camera and say something like with the current crisis we've both agreed that unity and dealing with health is the most important thing". Indirectly throw shade at Trump.

This might be business as usual going forward. If they can't vaccinate this in a year or so society might have to wind back the last 50-60 years if not longer.

Free market failure writ large but perhaps also liberalism.

That doesn't actually work. Unless the virus helps wind off half the population of the planet, of course. The current population is sustained by the current social structure, and winding back the social structure makes the current population impossible to sustain.

I have yet to see anyone show me any evidence that died in the wool, real FASCISTS, by the definition of the word and socio-political ideology as defined in general consensus on the issue by respectable sources that do not resort to fear-mongering, slander, propaganda, misinformation, and/or hyperbole - but actually know what they're talking about, have gained more than a marginal, fringe, extremist, "loudmouth," and, at times, violent by local, self-instigated, criminal, and rare displays foothold, in the United States, and certainly no evidence that they've taken over, or have more than a few fringe and outlying elected member, of the Republican Party of the United States.

I'm meaning they can't lock cities down long term. Jobs are going to be in short supply, old people are gonna be exposed regardless.

Covid could be recurring. A lot of Western nation's have 0 natural growth. I've if it kills a small fraction of a % in the right places it's gonna have an impact. Worldwide.

They might need heavy handed government intervention. Who gets to work etc.

Right now I'm having to make some pretty difficult decisions.

My property is gonna take a dunking. Everyone else is in the same boat.

If it gets that bad it's not gonna matter. I'm assuming at worst it's great depression, not Mad Max.
