The Democrats were accusing him of ignoring the science back when they were ignoring the science, the deception cost lives and it was bipartisan. As for Trump's later behavior, he's guilty too. He should have been promoting masks from the start, but he was told not to by 'the experts'.
Hi,
Thanks for the answer. Your right, Trump did made some things right in the first few weeks. That reflected in his approval rating btw, which was on an all time high back than. His travel ban - highly criticized by the democrats - bought some time back then (even Fauci admitted that), the issue is the time was not used to prepare to the pandemic proper, and when the pandemic hit, it was managed awfully. Trump all in all failed horribly since April as a crisis manager.
Yes, the first 2 months Trump made some things right, and the dems some things wrong. But since April, it went the opposite way and thats my point.
Remember how Trump scapegoated nurses for stealing equipment? Or when he closed down testing sides in florida because "less tests less cases"? Or when he suggested to disinfect bleach? Or when he pushed to reopen schools without any concept? Or when he tried to scapegoat Fauci for his failures? Or when he held an indoor rally in the middle of the pandemic? Or when he told his very fine people to "liberate" democrat states i.e. to break anti-covid rules i.e. activly sabotating the governeurs efforts to get the virus under controll?
Mocking people over wearing masks - and make people belive it was the experts fault - is just one little part of the bigger picture, and this bigger picture is the reason why the US is leading the world in cases AND deaths. The bigger picture is a complete failure of leadership, and even worse, not due to being unlucky, but due to stupidy (reflects in eg suggesting to inject bleach) and egoism (reflects in eg holding indoor rallys, refusing to wear a mask as long the pandemic was raging in dem states or closing test sides cuz they make him look bad).
Feel free to disagree, id be happy about a constructive discussion
