This is a random comment. I just noticed today that I have been a member of this forum for 21 years. How many of you have this forum as a significant part of your childhood?

My childhood was pre-internet. I've spent over 17 years of my adulthood here, though.

20+ years. Signed up when I was 19 or 20 yo to download something iirc. Didn't visit the forum for the next five years or so. Posting sporadically since then. Can't say I haven't lost spent a good amount of time here though.

This forum was basically my only outlet for social interaction for most of my teen years, luckily I was already too emotionally damaged to be much affected by the experience

I joined in 2008 pretty soon after finishing my junior year of high school. So 14 years ago for me. I’ve been on the internet, I think 99/00 are the earliest memories I have, so that would be 22ish years.

Joined 2001. Was briefly a member of another forum dedicated to something IT-related before that, and spent a few years in a SimCity-related IRC channel. But here is where I have been the longest by far.

I joined in 2010, I was 28 or 29. I played the original Civ 1 when I was a kid but by then had Civ IV. I was an older teenager the first time I used the internet.
