Workers are affected by happiness related military production penalty. This seems unintended to me.
 
  • Candi says it boosts Oases gold by 3, but it only boosts it by 2:c5gold:
  • Candi says it boosts cocoa and citrus by 2:c5food:2:c5gold:, but it only boosts them by 1:c5food:1:c5gold:
  • Candi doesn't give +1:tourism: to Artists/Writers/Musician specialists in the city, but the base Garden does
 
I have the same problem with Indonesia: 3 Cities and only Cloves, even with the Hanging Gardens :/

Random be random. I tried Indo just to see and I seem to be getting a variety of them. A mix of Pepper and Cloves so far, no Nutmeg yet.

Speaking about strategic resources: I heard that you can sell paper? I never knew that and have never seen an option to. I often take break from playing VP, was it available some versions ago?
 
I hope I don't sound ignorant, but from my research, Vox Populi is compatible in multiplayer (I wish to play it with 1 friend and 4 ai's). But is this beta version also compatible with multiplayer?
I found some dlc-based release builds but they're all the way from 2018 (I think I need the dlc version to play it multiplayer)

So do I need to convert this mod into a dlc-based mod by myself? Is it possible?

You used to be able to but that option was removed a long time ago.

Mmmm ... Is it just me or did the tooltip break? It's mousing over the worker image in the bottom left corner. It seems to just copy the last tooltip that was displayed, the broken read was probably cause it was something weird. But if I mouseover and bring up the tooltip for say an Archer and then select the worker and tooltip the same way I get the Archer tooltip on the worker to ...
(edit) The correct tooltip for the worker is displayed if I mouseover the unit, just not the if I do it on the bottom left image.

I am having this in any of the versions of VP, as far as I remember. It only happens for civilian units and great people, and once I mouse over military unit icon or caravan I'll be getting the same military unit info when I come back to civilian one. I am assuming it is just memory issue, similar to disappearing and incorrect tile yields display?
 
I don't think it's worth their time. It's not a bug, it doesn't affect anything, it is completely useless info anyway. I think it is just because of my limited notebook on which I play. I would much rather prefer to yields display be fixed, it is actually annoying and I use them all the time. But again, it is something beyond their reach and I learned to play with it.

Hey Recursive, it says you're a developer of Vox Populi, do you maybe know if this mod is compatible via online play via Steam? I don't want to be a bother, but if it's not possible I shouldn't try to follow these DLC steps and just use an older build from 2018, no problem. If it is possible, all I need is a yes, then I'll do my own research and pack this mod into a dlc and send it to my friend as well.
 
For those who can't start a game, please answer a few questions and/or attach your Lua.log (taken BEFORE you open the game again).

1. Which mapscript are you using? Any particular non-default settings?
2. Are you using Really Advanced Setup?
3. Are you using the EUI/non-EUI/43-civ version?

You will either need to create your own fake-DLC modpack or download one created by other people. There is a step-by-step tutorial somewhere - I think it's on the VP wiki, maybe also here on CF, try Googling it. I am pretty sure you will also find other people's modpacks here, newer than 2018.

(I have never tried a modpack myself)

I find I have to select another option after choosing to Raze a City for it to go through. The City will still Raze if I choose to Puppet/Annex it.

Hi @Gazebo , I have the same issue to him. Playing as Spain, I captured an Inca's city (not capital), "Choose city fate" button appeared. I clicked raze city, after that the button was still there, I cannot move on. If I chose puppet or annex it, the button would disappear. Then I could see "Next Turn" button and could move to next turn.

So I think it's a bug because of this change:


UI : "City conquest now a notification instead of popup-only - also blocks end turn until resolved (so you can't accidentally skip it) - should fix the missing popup woes some have reported".
