8.3x Bugs Thread

Patch 8.34:

I'm playing as Nojah of the Balseraph and I have joined the Cult of Esus and have build the hall of the Cult of Esus. I'm very surprised about the beneficial free promotions for all my new units. But Hawks shouldn't be able to get them, they don't bring them any benefits.

Edit: My workers also get those free promotions, also useless.

its intentional- you're surely noticing your almost total lack of divine spells from mages and priests.

...and using CoE spells is no cheap business as you have already seen.

workers and hawks with promos - its more a cosmetic issue.
 
As far as the Hawk promotions go, I'd be more concerned that it has the Aeron's Chosen promotion (the source of the +2 Unholy damage that it has, which uses the first icon in its list). This is normally applied to an assassin unit. I think this must have been transfered to it via the unit that had it getting killed while it has the Spirit Guide promotion - that will not transfer the promotions to a unit that is marked as defensive only, but the hawk isn't marked with that even though it can't actually attack anything. That's a waste of a perfectly good promotion.
 
arcane lacuna twice is a known bug. ok, but thrice? third time may be caused by traders of erebus, I guess...
 
Hi,

it's not possible to explore some kind of lairs, especially unique features. Currently it's happening with pyre of seraphic. Maybe because of the keepers (elohim) module...? But I think I disabled it.

There have been some changes to the Unique Features, some that were once explorable are not now, there benefits are to nearby cities in some cases.

One further question: Are they only boosting nearby cities without the possibility to explore them or can I explore them at some special point of the game (late game tech, special unit, ritual or event needed?)? I am asking because the explore button is still visible when placing a unit on a special feature...

Patch 8.34:

One or two turns ago I got an event, toads were discovered on a marsh tile. But the next round they switched back to pigs. Seems not right, perhaps the lack of hell terrain is responsible for this?

I am not completely up to speed myself on exactly what all the changes are. I wouldnt pay too much attention to the explore button itself. If you enter some, you will get a popup message with options, others will have tile benefits, and others other benefits. I dont think the pedia entries for these have been updated, adding to the confusion i am sure. So its explore, discover and experiment at its best.... haha.

Why did my Sword Mages suddenly have only 4:strength:? Until last turn they all had correctly 5:strength: (3 base, +1 for body mana, +1 for enchantment mana, please look at my available mana types). Last turn I discovered Animal Handling... I cannot remember anything other which could produce such an effect.

it's a bug but I couldn't figure out yet what causes it.
 
Maybe a bit late for bugfixes under 8.3x, but might be of interest for 9.0 too....

Fighting litigo, and he somehow managed to get at least 3 barnaxus's. I killed one (promo on my archer) and two more are in the stack in front of me...

Edit: A few turns on... I now am holding 6 pieces of barnaxus..... Did he make old barny into a golem or something ? :)

IIRC the multi barnaxus's have been noted and Sephi created a fix either in patch one or two in the WM beta release. Im pretty sure about this.... ;)
 
it is not a bug but more overlooked feature - in 8.34 kurio settlements have to pay for corporational upkeep in the case if corporations are expanded there.
 
8.34, erebus continent.

Tumtum is doing something extraordinary. He had captured the city of Levantera a couple of turns ago (to the north on the other side of the water). Then all of a sudden, he :eek:FLEW:eek: over the water and killed a unit of mine.

Turns out he mounted a pegasus and traded in his boar. How the heck did he do that????

The city is recaptured(?) by the austrin this turn. I can't figure out how this could have happened since for starters tumtum is a mounted unit and they can't get the pegasus promo (right???)
