Well...at least Sweden is a brand, spanking new Civ! Hope it has some interesting and cool gameplay.

I'm not sure why people are completely losing their minds though. If Sweden had been revealed earlier with the other ones, but Ethiopia had been held back and now revealed, probably have a different reaction.

Haha, but that's always been a side-effect of the civ choices in the series! The reason I love Zulu so much to this day is because as a kid I loved to play them on the Earth map. I could get so much territory before running in to another civ

Strategy was move north. If Egypt, prepare for war. If not Egypt, block entrance and proceed to colonize all of Africa.

Haha yep Civ is always fun and its especially fun having such a free reign

But hopefully Kongo and Zimbabwe will come to replace the Zulu and make the map more exciting than the Zulu ever could

Ill not complain about the merits of sweden, but from a gamer point of view, I have zero interest to play with or against them.

I have a feeling Swedes make a bigger percentage of there sales than the Huns

I probably would have preferred a non-European civ, but all things considered Sweden is a pretty good choice. They fit the reformation scenario, and they haven't been in a Civ game before (we've had scandinavians and vikings, but not Sweden of the 17th c). Hopefully they're fun to play.
