A Brave New World Part 3

The update will be forthcoming tomorrow night, giving a bit of a longer chance for the finishing of the map. The purpose of this "update 0" is to provide a field test for the ruleset, and I will be attempting to use as many elements as possible within the rules we have. Mostly this is due to the nature of hte new ruleset, and I am not 100% certain of its ability to be useable. Thank you all for your continuing patience.

Bah we all know update 0 is where Italia takes over the world.

Guidelines preferred. The process of updating will begin soon enough I guess. I've been rather busy lately, so things remain behind schedule.

Some quick questions that would be helpful if answered for the update, and will result in less whining:

@crezth: French elections are this year, I know the Lisists will win, but I have the feeling that La Roque isn't technically the leader anymore. I think that was in a previous update, but efforts to find the correct leader have been futile so far.

@Lord_Iggy: elections ought to be this year, and with your country in the state it is in, I'm wondering how you feel things ought to go there.

I may be able to send you a comic strip for one of Venezuela's national newspapers. Quality won't be great, but it will clearly convey the position of Venezuela in the world and the opinion of the bigger political sectors in the country.

Sounds good to me.

New leader is Baoudouin, I don't remember his full name. He is head of government, La Rocque is head of state & of the Lisist Party (yes, still).

I'll write a story about current events and the election.

OOC: Dunno if it's to late or not but below are some guidelines for Mexico. Hardly secretive and no need for a PM. If they are ignored no major loss. :)

Spoiler :
Mexican Guidelines
Continue payment of reparations (6 EP) to former allies nations. They will divide reparations accordingly.

Remaining government investment will be centered on the Mexican Reconstruction and Development Project and Industrial Research.(to be split 50/50)

I've said this multiple times, but thank you all for your patience, things have been busy for me recently, and I'm striving to keep at least some focus on NESing. I'm planning on finishing update 0 tonight or tomorrow morning. Fear not, we shall soon return to a Sunday-based updating schedule.

Actually, screw this facade. I'm going to start with the apology to all those who have put massive amounts of work into this, like myself. I'm sorry that I cannot muster the enthusiasm for his NES any more. I don't know if it is the events of the past few weeks in real life which have caused me to try to get out of the ABNW trench (we're far beyond a rut by now) or whether the magic of this NES just disappeared for me without cause or reason. My life is more in a state of flux than it has been for some time, leaving me looking for changes wherever I can find them, and that must include NESing.

I'm proud to say that together we have forged a truly great NES, from 1830 to the present. In post counts and updates, A Brave New World has far surpassed anything I have ever had the pleasure to moderate. I will not be removing anything from this NES, and I may well return to this point in the future, should the mood strike me. While I'm sure some of you will be disappointed, the NES would not be as it was without my interest or enthusiasm in creating the updates. I've got a number of other rulesets in the works, and have yet to determine which to go with. The obvious choice is which will hold my interest the longest.

Once more, I conclude with an apology and I am aware of the epic-fail that this is, especially compared with the post above it.

No worries EQ, this NES created a universe that is really unheard of in any other NES. It lasted long enough to where ending it now doesn't seem premature. This was a great NES, and am happy to have served in its entirety.

I am disappointed, I won't deny it, but I understand. In the short time I was here, I enjoyed it massively. I've even thought of a couple ways to "celebrate" it, which I may pursue in the future. Will gladly join one of your NESes in the future.

I hope the mood strikes you to resume ABNW some time in the future... and I have no regrets about staying up until 7 AM writing out the complete history of the Métis. Think I should repost that from 2 to 3?
