Oh, the wealth production. Tragic.

My fellow Americans, we have a dangerous militant on our borders and an undersized army (to say nothing of Emperor difficulty in an anarchy game...). In short, our young country is destined for its first major challenge.

As he is cutting us off from the rest of world, we must aligh our country towards turining the tables on Oda. We need units, and we need military leadership. Let's start the conversation:

1) Barracks, or straight to units?
2) What do we built up to before we bring the fight to Oda?

President: Arya126
New York Senator: GreyWithAnE
New York Representative: Sparthage

1) Barracks, or straight to units?
I say we build a Barracks first. Though the Barbarian Japanese may be extremely agressive, we must give our armies training before sending them into battle against such a foe.
2) What do we built up to before we bring the fight to Oda?
It is my opinion that we must at the least build walls to make our own cities less likely to fall to the barbaric rabble that has claimed land that is clearly ours. I would also like to see the creation of a powerful armed force (Longswordsmen, perhaps?) before our men strike out to wipe the Japanese off the face of the Earth. Finally, I would like to find the barbaric people's so-called capital and scout out our future lands and plan our troops' training accordingly.

Washington Representative: Jehoshua
SEN-2 : America shall complete the first tier of Liberty social policies immediately, and before selecting any others. (Rudragun, 1380)
I vote in favor of this.

Senator Rudragun
--------------

Thank you very much for the proper wording of the bill, GreyWithAnE. I will consider Honor after these policies.

I cast my votes for the Minor Party Primary.

Minor Party Candidate for President

arya126 : America's Fist Party

Senator of New York

Steel Knight : Expanionist Party

Representative of New York district 1

chgrogers : American Sporting Gentleman's Party

I vote for myself, Sparthage, and Ceskari.

Concerning the war-in-planning, it is most certainly true that we require more scouting information, so this is our first priority. Barracks and longswordsmen (which can be updgraded to minutemen once we research Gunpowder) are most certainly called for, and a cannon or two wouldn't hurt.

Walls, on the other hand, shouldn't be as necessary if we'll be bringing the fight to him, but saving some gold in the treasury to purchase them if the fight goes sour would be prudent.

I would find a wall in Washington, our most powerful city, would be prudent as it would not only protect our great city from the immediate enemy in the vile Japanese barbarians, but also allow us to feel safer should any future enemies penetrate to the outskirts of our capital.

I will vote for arya126, Steel Knight, chgroger

High sun and low moon, the communists must be kept at bay!

I'd also like to condemn Sparthage for his support of GreyWithAnE who has voted for the Bolshevik! If prior endorsements take precedent over the coalition you have endorsed then you should have refused to form the coalition in the first place as opposed to playing with a two card hand.

I suggest barracks as well although I would urge the honorable men in Washington to bring more information through scouting to the citizens of the United States.

Washington Representative: Jehoshua (ergo Myself)

we aslo need to focus on science. in the long run we need a cosiderable tech adavantage versus oda

The votes seem to go in the direction of the other candidate. Therefore, I must raise my campaigning profile. Volunteers are painting signs and people start posting them on their lawns.

It is interesting that the opposing candidate is advocating walls. I have proposed barracks, and even some of the voters who publicly announce casting their vote to the opposition, still say they would like barracks instead. Such is life, and fickle is the voter.
