A New Dawn Bug Reports and Feedback

The latest versions have Cheomseongdae moved all the way to Alchemy. I think putting an entire era between Mausoleum and Cheomseongdae is enough.
The problem with this solution is that the wonder associated with Oil Painting as well as the Liberalism tech both give free techs and are more or less in the same era. With Cheomseongdae pinned to alchemy that would make a 3rd tech boosters in within the same era.

Leonardo's Workshop and Liberalism are both Renaissance Era. Cheomseongdae is Medieval Era. There's still an era difference between those, especially with Alchemy being fairly early in the Medieval. I think they are spread out enough, and that the real problem was having two Golden Age boosters at the exact same tech.

Is it possible to change the upgrade price of units back to something more reasonable than $10 for everything or whatever it is now, its too easy to abuse. Like for example building lots of warriors and then warriors and then upgrading them to swordsmen, or even massing catapults just before u get trebuchet tech so you can upgrade them cheap.

Upgrade cost are being restored with the next revision. Right now it's 20 :hammers: + 1/100 of the production cost difference between upgraded and original unit. That 1/100 is becoming 1/2. Sounds a lot better now.

Crap! :p No it doesn't. :(

Don't worry, cost increase isn't proportional; it's not 50x. The formula used makes it so that while before you needed 21 gold for a Warrior-->Modern Infantry, you now need about 140 gold. Sounds more reasonable, especially because it always was 21 gold to upgrade a Warrior to whatever, now it's scaled depending on the unit you're upgrading too. :)

Now, if only I can make it work this last revision... I guess I've messed up something with the last commit.

Yeah sounds great thanks a lot :goodjob:

Always wanted to mention:

Founding Nagualism displays the same movie as for Hinduism. Not a big bug, but still a bug.

Here is one possibility: http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=19389

I don't think that's a "bug" but more of a design problem, no video was ever made for it I guess.

Didn't C2C or Realism Invictus have a video for this specific religion too? We could just use one of those. Though RI calls it the Solar Cult instead. Has a different spread/founding/palace music effect than Nagualism does in C2C/AND as well, but uses most of the same ideas and whatnot.

I remember Thomas' War had a movie for it.

But you are right about the correct expression is design problem :)

Well I just encountered that weird economic bug. I playing as Ramses leader of the Indian empire and was in the early industrial period. I think my slider balance was 85, 5, 0 and was making 20 gold per turn. Then it turned to like 250,000 per turn then 750,000. Culture also went ballistic resulting in a culture victory in 4 turns. Reloaded several turns prior to the glitch and it never occurred again.

Tom (and everyone else), please, when you find a bug like this, save your game and provide me with a save before and after that problem (an autosave before is ok too). I can't do anything if you just tell me "it doesnt' work" but I can't reproduce the problem myself. :(

Say, wasn't "claim territory" an option? Seems like I forgot to uncheck it, or I didn't see it in the options. (Build r685).

Had a scouting group get trapped by foreign territory, then while waiting for borders to auto-push that unit out I accidentally claimed the tile they were sitting on, and now I think they're stuck :crazyeye:

Edit:
Also, did you guys revamp religions recently (I'm guessing after r680-r682)? I noticed the techs descriptions only mention founding a religion, not specific names. Was surprised when someone founded Islam early in the game, since previously it was something like the last to be founded. Nice touch, I like the randomness. On the other hand, it seems the AIs grab them pretty fast, in the 3 maps I rolled for r685 I've never managed once to found a religion, heh.

IIRC, claim territory it's not an option but a feature of some units.

Also, the only thing done with religions lately was changing some prerequisite tech. What's happened to you either means you've activated Choose Religion option or it's been activated accidentally because you moved from an older revision of the mod without clearing your civilization.ini file or possibly because you've played with C2C or some other similar mod.

Huh, seriously? I deleted both the .ini and the backup, deleted the old mod folder, exported SVN version and moved it, and held down shift while the new build was loading. Had to set up all the BUG options too so I thought things were fine. Ugh, I guess it's back to doing full uninstall-reinstall then. Fortunately it doesn't take that long on my computer.

If you've done all those things you should be fine. Easier that you've accidentally activated Choose Religion. You can check it in your game options from within the game.

The nearing domination limit and exceeding domination limit warning messages appear even if you have domination victory disabled in the game start options.

Do you have Mastery Victory condition On?

@45 : In the city screen, i cannot find the string tags relative to the tabs "Wonders" and "Special" (to show the buildings). These are untranslated in French because i cannot find them. I wonder if these aren't directly written into the code.

Yes, they are. I'll change it in next revision.
