I already caught the standing army issue. ;)

You should be able to just drag and drop the Project folder from Vincentz modmod's into the Modules folder. However, don't overwrite the ModularLoadingControls's file.
I didn't move it in the first place. I've played with it when I just played ROM with modmods. I didn't move it when I installed AND, but afterwards it wouldn't work, but some of the other modmods would.
I did check the MLC files in Vincentz' modmods, they are identical to the ones in AND.
I've also tried to move the two folders from Vincentz' folder to your, "Afforess" folder, where the rest of the AND files are - but that didn't do anything either.

I don't know whether this is a XML-tag problem. If there are added tags later that Vincentz' modmods doesn't have, they might not be loaded at all... or what?

I've also though of adding the code directly into the *info.xml-files, but as far as I can see, he's also made changed to the *Schema-files and I don't know how they work.

Back again people. Okay, I completely reinstalled my Civ 4 and Beyond the Sword after my installing of this mod :):):):)ed up both of them. The only problem is that the problem hasn't gone away with reinstalling. It seems that the files I installed from New Dawn have gotten into my disks so not even reinstalling will make the problems stop.

When I try to start up the game, the beyond the Sword screen with loading in all the languages pops up as normal, followed up by the loading bar that says Init Engine and XML. The problem starts at Init Xml (uncached), where the loading bar stops and a small window with something like this pops up:

"Tag: BONUSCLASS_MANUFACTURED in Info class was incorrect
Current XML file is: xml\ Terrain/CIV4BonusInfos.xml"

There are hundreds of variations of these.

I am seriously pissed at this, the fact that a buggy mod has somehow destroyed two of my games which cost me $80 in total. Help would really be appreciated, if not deserved.

Shouldn't be an XML tag issue, the game defaults the tags to 0 or false if they are missing.

Vincentz stuff should work out of the box, here's what to do:

Install RoM 2.81, Install AND, then extract Vincentz modmod's onto the desktop. Open his modmod's and find his "Projects" folder. Copy it into the Rise of Mankind/Assets/Modules folder, then start the game, they should load.

I suggest you learn some etiquette; at the moment I have 0 motivation to help you; you already hate this modmod and you blame me completely, why should I care about anything further? :p

I am a volunteer, a one-man team; love it or leave it.

Del Valle, regardless of your installation woes, your claim that Afforess' modmod has destroyed your game disks is patently ridiculous. Remember - a bad workman always blames his tools.

@Arakhor
It must have been the modmod. I installed it exactly as the installer said I should, into the Beyond the Sword folder, and the problems with my game started immediately after that. I haven't gotten it to work since.

@Afforess
Very well then Afforess, I apologize for any offense I made toward you and your work. Now, can you please help me by uploading the clean BTS and CIV4 files if you have them? My own are a lost cause, the only solution I see is to replace them completely. If you don't have them, can you please direct me to a place where I can get them?

How could A New Dawn ruin your CDs?:confused: After all CD-ROM means Read Only Memory. You can't write new or erase data with CD or DVD-ROM.

@ Del Valle I would suggest you frist look in all Directorys used by Civ IV if there is some remaining CIV IV / Mod files after deinstallation because this can cause your problems with reinstalling.

Neither Afforess nor anyone else can upload any of the unaltered Civ IV game files for public access. That's a breach of copyright and can be viewed as electronic theft.

@NBAFan
I have no idea either mate. I uninstalled both games, and deleted every other thing related to CIV4 as well. Yet when I reinstalled it, the game was exactly as it what was before de-installing.

@Schwarzbart
Pardon my ignorance of computer terminology, but what are Directories? Do you mean the C:\ files?

@Arakhor
Ah phoeey, I was wondering about that.

So you have nothing in your Mr Documents/My Games folders (also called directories), nothing in your Program Files/2K Games etc. and absolutely nothing related to Civ IV on your system at all? Try an F3 search to locate anything you may have forgotten about.

The one thing that is absolutely certain is that whether A New Dawn is buggy or not, it cannot have infected your CD-ROMs at all.

If you use Mods for a Game the game unistaller usualy dont remove the canged/added files so you have to remove them manual. Also there a loot of games where a uninstall let some Files, beside the saves, behind especial when the game was updated at some point. So knowing where a game/programm have stored its data is a more then usefull knowledge and absolut necessary if you whant to use any mods even if they are delivered with a easy to use installer.

Consistently getting the error "The application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. " Any thoughts?

Well, I got that error considerably less whilst only playing with Medium graphics and I have 4 GB of RAM. 2 GB isn't really enough, no.

While loading it. I am also getting the memory error while my computer has 2gb DDR RAM. Is this not enough to consistently run the game?

2gb of Ram is enough. Are you using Win7 or Vista? If so, have you turned UAC off? If you don't know how, google it.
