In my humble opinion there are too many bonuses for water movement.Currently I am playing in Modern era, and my ships have 6 standard bonus movement, meaning battleships can move 12 tiles per turn, destroyers 14.And new units will have abilities to move even more, which is kinda ridiculous.In essence it means water units can move in one turn to another continent and even more.At the same time comparable air units like bombers and P59 fighters have 8 range.Soon I'll discover jet fighters, and they will have 10 range, and in real world they are about 20-40 times faster then ships.

That does seem very excessive. I will look into this, thanks for bringing it up.
 
I have discovered a new source of obsidian in modern era, which doesn't make sense.Maybe obsolete resources shouldn't pop up after they are no longer useful.
 
Sorry if this is being discussed elsewhere, but is there progress on the issue of stability ? My games tend to crash more and more often when I get to modern times. In my present game I had to somewhat change and then restart maybe every second of the last 50+ turns. I modified my last turn maybe ten times by now but it continues to crash whenever I proceed to the next turn. Is there anything I can do to continue the game ?

Upload a save. You can also find a minidump crash file that is created any time the game crashes and can upload that as well. It is located in your base BTS game folder (not the mods directory, but the game install). Uploading both will make fixing your crashes possible.

I have two paths (C/Programme (x86)/2K Games/ Firaxis Games/Sid ... Complete /Beyond the Sword and C/User/MH/Eigene Dokumente/My Games/Beyond the Sword) and no "install" folder I can see.

Compress your file in a zip and you'll be able to upload it. Minidump.dmp is in the first folder you've seen.
 
Obsidian obsoletes? Didn't know that.

Believe it or not, obsidian is still relevant in Modern era. Hospitals use that resource in the game, I believe.

Not any more. It wasn't worth a whole point of health (I was trying to get rid of too much health/happiness accumulation), so I cut it out and made Obsidian go obsolete at Metallurgy. After that, you can't build any units that would rely on Obsidian.

We've got 4 +1 water movement techs right now: Weather Lore, Compass, Navigation, and Refrigeration, and then an additional +1 from the first to actually circle the globe. The only tech bonus of this kind in regular BTS is Refrigeration, and that comes along after most ships are introduced; with these extra bonuses, we're getting a lot of ships with stacked bonuses that aren't reflected in their base stats. I don't mind fast ships, but I can see how slowing the pace is important for gameplay purposes.

I would suggest that Compass and Navigation both have plenty of content and do not deserve +1 movement bonus.

Naval academy also gives one movement point.
 
In rev825 strategic bombers don't damage Anti-air halftrack, as opposed to other units.Even if I attack them multiple time after some point damage is always 0%.
In real world AA is usually first target to destroy.
It is probably ok, I guess AI had national flak system.

It says academy is a national wonder now. After I build one, I got a second GS and I can still build academy in another city. Is there an up limits on how many academy one can built now?
