A good suggestion, althoug maybe two grand forum sections with each sub section within.

I personally want all political issues to be under Chamber law. Debates require prober notions of how to debate. Without them you just have mud throwing.

The benefit of the smaller forums is that the threads stay up longer even with a lower post count and are not pushed back by the trash and volatility of this forum. So the thematic subforums need to be kept separate. I'm not sure what to do with the Humour forum though

Humour threads suffer too much political interference already; putting them in Tavern would only worsen the situation.

I'm only a very casual OT visitor but I'd certainly applaud a structure as suggested here, even if only the other Colosseum fora would be structured as subfora of the Chamber and the Tavern. With my current clicking behaviour (yes, selfish argument ) I now basically never visit them, though I'm sure there are more than enough threads there that may interest me.

Unite (not merge, they were never supposed to be separate) the twin OT's. Merge A&E and science back into the OT. Leave the rest alone.

Based on what I've seen, this is the difference between the Chamber and the Tavern:

The Tavern: Where people flame each other with low personal snipes, and then get infracted/banned.

The Chamber: A place that could potentially have intelligent discussion, but no one goes there.

Note that he hasn't been permabanned. (At least, I don't think he has been.) It's a somewhat regular occurrence, but he'll be back soon.
