    1) You don't type out your numbers when they are under ten.
    2) You tried to apply Civilization terms to real life.
    3) I find you childish and silly.

    1) Ok understood
    2) Civ is about rewriting history. Sid tries to balance playability and realism. The civ things were also just jokes, hence why I used my actual discussion afterward
    3) why? Just because we have different opinions

While the systems are somewhat different between Australia and Canada, they are still single-payer healthcare systems, so I'd like to add my own anecdote.

Melbourne is a city of over 4 million people, and recently I needed to see a doctor several times over blood pressure issues I have. For the first appointment, I made the appointment at about 1pm and I was in to see the doctor by 3:30. The second appointment, I made the appointment half a week in advance, but I did this specifically based on when I had the time to see the doctor. The third and final appointment was made the day before to get me a 9am appointment time.
So in each case where I dealt with the public system, I got exactly the appointment I needed as soon as it was practical for me.
After the second appointment, I needed to hire a blood pressure monitor for 24 hours through a private company. I was stuck waiting for almost a month before they could get the monitor for me, a paying customer.

As for your use of Civilization analogies. Don't. A hospital in Civ4 might add 3 health to the city, but in the real world you can build more than one hospital in a single city. Civilization is a game before a simulation; if it doesn't contribute to the fun, it doesn't get in the game.

And it wasn't just your use of numbers to replace words that was annoying; it is also your near complete disregard for grammar.

Are you implying that there should be a dictatorship, or just that it works to get a certain end done.

Some dictatorships like Rome lasted a long time, but the especially brutal ones usually collapse Aka Hitler.

    Thank you for that clarification.
A good thing to bear in mind, especially if you find yourself in Italy between a crowd and a lamppost.

btw, what are you doing with your government ?

4 6 years Hitler's was stable, it collapsed because of the war, if ww2 never started Germany would still be a Nazi country 2day. I am am a fascist, i have said that a couple of times in this forum (and my screen name should make it obvious) I think a capitalistic dictatorship is the most efficient form of government, and therefore the best.

    1. different system
    2. Private systems have been acknowledge 2 have less waiting time. That is y i believe in 2 tier
    3. For a check up appointment it can take a month or so, rarely but sometimes more. If ur actually sick it takes less time

Each of those were a joke. We all play civ so i thought it would make sense. Both time after doing the civ joke, I explained wat happens in the real world. I mentioned this last post so y do in need 2 repeat myself.

can i pull the dyslexia card? I am dyslexic.
i use numbers 2 shorten words simply because it saves time. instead of attacking my lack of grammar attack my points, it shouldn't matter as long as the point gets across

wat do u mean by this???

We could disband the government-funded army, police, and fire-brigades!! :)

In an absolute capitalism, these would be available privately.

no an absolute capitalism is anarchy
so we have slightly changed the debate (or at least i have) 2 be almost absolute, where 4 the protection of the state, army and police r still owned by the government
thats what most of us have agreed

The economic system of ideological fascism was corporatism, not capitalism; Laissez-Faire capitalism was explicitly condemned by Mussolini. Hitler's economic system was one big military Keynesian wankfest; the entire point of his economic policies was to prepare for war of conquest that Hitler had always intended to launch, not economic growth. Either way though, both systems are far more interventionalist than laissez-faire capitalism.

But Somalia has a government -- in fact, several governments. The only thing the governments in Somalia lack is international recognition and steady control over their territory. Otherwise, they carry out the most basic functions of a state: for up until recently, there was a paramilitary group of Sharia courts that ran Mogadishu and much of Somalia.

    I already talked about this, Mussolini was elected. His campaign promises included;
    1) Create an empire larger then Rome
    2) Persecuting those at fault for ruining the country (Jews, Gypsies Communists, Monarchs, Socialist, and French)
    3) Force an economic growth by lessing the involvement of Government with corporation

He tried to complete the first 1 (and failed), He tried to complete the second (and almost succeeded, but the communists got him in the end) He abolished the third (2 or 3 years into his rule, he unite corporation and state)

I have answered this 2 many time 2 go at it again.
Fascism has never been used before in a government, only those who call themselves fascist. I believe in Fascism (the most right wing form of government) to Nazism, which is wat is known as fascism 2day

Yes, that is why when I wanted to see a doctor I could get an appointment in minutes at exactly the time I wanted on very short notice. Noting that I never told the doctor or anyone else what was wrong before making the appointment, so it wasn't any different to someone who just wants a checkup; I just said "My name is <insert name here>, and I'd like to make an appointment for some time between 3 and 5 this afternoon." And they'd make the appointment for me.
But when I wanted to use the private system I had to wait several weeks for a time that was suitable for them. I was just lucky that the time they chose was also suitable for me, delayed though it was.

Concerning the bolded part, I hope you're trying to speak objectively here (as in, Mussolini said the Jews, etc. were ruining Italy) and not what you think. Correct?

But Mussolini kept the monarchy around until the king finally gave him his walking papers.

And interestingly so did Spain. Which really dents the revolutionary aspect of fascism in both countries. They were at their core reactionaries, they spoke not of a great future, but a return to a glorious past, they wanted a return of tradition, conservative values, and the Church became a great and important institution along with the monarchy for the regimes.

No. Read up on Mussoloni's manifesto. It opposed laissez-faire economic policy before the Great Depression, and fascists promoted their ideology as a third way between capitalism and communism. It's not as centrally planned as communism, either in theory or practice, but either way still more economically interventionalist than your average western capitalist democracy today.
