Interesting point. One that I didn't think of. We might just have to rush some boats and sink a couple of boat loads of their troops. Maybe then they'll back off. Also, put some Trebs in our coastal cities so we can bombard any approaching vessel/landing party. We should have a large enough stack to take out the Inca without too much Treb help. Finally, if we protect our Aztec lands better, maybe Maya won't see us as such an easy target.

Finally, we need to get to communism in order to really start getting our empire moving. I'd suggest getting Japan and America up to speed tech wise to see if we can't start to accelerate this tech trend.

Best way to speed AI science output is to buy from them for gpt and ship them luxuries. I have tracked that phenomenon often enough to believe the tactic is effective. The key is that the AI does not use the luxury slider and prefers hiring clowns. Buying for cash allows them to upgrade troops as they will not deficit spend to support science. So the combination of buying for gpt and shipping luxes lets them put citizens back to work for more gold and allows them them to turn up the sceince rate even more.

That's why it is very important to use tax collectors in outer corrupt towns in your government form. YOuget no commercial bonus and you have high susceptibility to war weariness. Blood suckers help you boost income and control war weariness.

In other items your most important infrastructure in the core and next ring out is the marketplace/courthouse/bank combo. You need the commercial boost you get from those three buildings.

Nothing else. Every other turn, the Maya keep landing LB and spears that I had to dither with. We're ready to go against the Inca when the current deal is done. Remember to raise everything but the wonder cities. Idiots like to stare at big shiny wonders that work miricales and go "ooh". Building boats to use to go punish the maya with after we retake New Hannover. WW hasn't been an issue so far.

Don't forget about the power of fishing villages.

OT - RL is a pain for me as well. I spent my day looking at cows, pigs, chickens and geese at the Pennsyltucky Farm Show. :) Viper & Joe - duke it out and let me know when to play. ;)

Turn 2
-- Elite Musket defends vs LB, wins, and generates a leader :)
-- 2 other LBs die to the elite Musket. The spears retreat toward New Hannover. Another boatload of Mayans are on their way.
-- Mayans building JS Back's Cathedral
-- MI takes out spear
-- MI takes out spear and promotes
-- Stack ready to attack New Hannover next turn

Turn 3
-- Elite MI dies to spear and doesnt even scratch him
-- ugh, MI dies to spear

Turn 4
-- Mi takes out redlined pike
-- MI takes out spear and takes New Hannover

Turn 5
-- LB takes out MI. More Mayan spears land on our territory. I'm gonna mop up, then see if we can't get peace to take to take out the Incans.
-- Inca has banking, but they don't have chemistry. Trade Chemistry and 75 gold for Banking.

-- New MI army takes out 2 LBs
-- MI takes out spear
-- MI takes out LB and promotes. Lands are cleansed of the Mayan filth. Get peace and navigation for banking and 500 gold.
-- Inca have been busy. They have some fortresses with crusaders and spears around our border. Ah well. Time to die. Declare war.
-- MI army takes out crusader and spear. We're in their territory now on the fortress they built for us.

Turn 6
-- LB beats crusader
-- MI takes out crusader
-- Elite MI takes out spear, no leader
-- Spear defeats elite MI
-- MI takes out crusader
-- MI takes out spear and promotes
-- MI takes out LB

-- MI takes out LB and I'm going to raize this city. I can place them better then the way they are laid out now.

-- MI army takes out spear and moves in another square into Inca territory.

-- We will lose Machu Piccu but we'll retake it in 1-2 turns.

Turn 7
-- Crusader takes out our MI army
-- Machu Picchu is captures. We lost 39 gold.
-- Musket takes out LB
-- MI takes out Crusader

Turn 8
-- MI takes out LB. Stack is ready to take out Machu next turn.

Turn 9
-- Musket takes out 2 LB on defense before dying. MI takes out 1 LB before dying.
-- WW starting to set in. Damn, we need horses. I have lux running at 80% to keep most of our empire in line. Still need 1 taxman.
-- Elite MI takes out spear
-- Elite MI takes out LB and razes Machu Picchu. Moving settlers in to replace.
-- vet MI takes out LB and promotes.

Turn 10
-- Not much. Just moving things around and getting ready to take out the next town.
