Probably? Also Portugal got Galicia and some other stuff changed, but it's a very poor map/timeline ^^

They do not count Australia as desert?

I think that classification is likely based on (lack of) precipitation. And even the Western Desert still gets enough rainfall to support vegetative growth for at least part of the year.
They have it as an interactive overlay for google earth. This is the Bay Area, Lake Tahoe to the Great Salt Lake. A lot of that looks like desert to me, but most is not. Proper deserts must be really dry.

Btw, I don't buy that Bosnia chose Serbia, given half of Bosnia is a serbian state + the video maker has a conspicuous Croatiaball in their avatar.

According to here it's defined as arid landscapes lacking plant cover. If you zoom in on Google Maps, most of the Australian interior typically regarded as desert looks like this random Street View of Stuart Highway near Marla, South Australia, the driest part of the continent and very much unfit for human habitation, but there's still a lot of vegetation about. This would be "shrubland" according to the classification.
For comparison here's a spot on the road between Riyadh and Dammam classified as "desert"
