Could it be Don Juan, the hero of Lepanto?
I don't think the reference was to that long ago - as of that type there are only greek ones, eg to the 300 spartans. The poem was written in 1823 (the war was ongoing) :)
I googled Spain's flag, and it should be a reference to that (coat of arms has a lion and a tower, and the poem mentions both).

the lion rampart or whatever unified Spain after driving out the Moors . That's some wow for ethnic cleansing and the lot .

I'm surprised
I'm guessing it's more 'hours supposed to work'

"Hours supposed to work" on paper or what's socially expected? If it's the latter, the 1607 hours for Japan seems low. And if it's the former, that seems slightly deceiving.

A Japanese rail map on a humongous map of Japan I have been playing in Transport Fever 2

I have been focusing on passenger rail connections between the cities

LRT Express links are basically light rail express routes that connect certain rail stations via dedicated lanes and only 2 stops. If the stations they connect are drawn closer together, then they are actually pretty close to each other, compared to the not so close connections.

The two airports have a route between them, acting as a super express link from the very north to the very south. The line names are subject to change. Everything else should be self-explanatory.

it is great to have sit out the Great War . Except it takes hindsight . In 1914 those without the said hindsight thought the war would soon end and whoever won would divide the Ottomans . And they did try to ally with the Anglo-French or even the Russians . This bold vision of a neutral Ottoman empire cleansed of its evil and "evil" entities so that Arabs slowly steal the State is a great conspiracy with huge impact even today . None of it good , too .

That's a very similar map to that presented in Mark Lawrence's Empire of Thorns series, where the world experienced (amongst other calamities) 100 metres of sea level rise.
