Well, no. The Catalonians are now an Italian-controlled province, rather than a Spanish one.

What you don't see on that map is the new Roman Republic. Three people in Italy was way too much!

The solution of the sickman of Europe problem in 1920 :)

Good thing the sick man grew a pair and made sure that didn't happen.

British Cyprus? That could have been fun :)

Doing some basic eyeballing of the various GDPs per state and country. (Too lazy to do all the exact math) I've come up with the following...

Based on GDP the "Latin Empire" (which I am perplexed by the name) has an economy of about 5 trillion. Comparable to Japan.

The Empire of Atlanta and California both have a GDP of about 2 trillion. Comparable to Italy.

Texas and New York have a GDP of about 1 trillion. Comparable to Brazil

New England, Colorado and Florida all have a GDP of about 700 million. Comparable to The Netherlands.

Cascadia has a GDP of about 500 million. Comparable to Sweden.

North Mexico has a GDP of about 350 million. Comparable to Austria.

Utah as a GDP of about 100 million. Comparable to Peru.

I like the reference to the Fourth Crusade, which explains the Latin Empire and the pair of "Empires" named after cities on either side of it.

Latin Empire and its vassals, I think. One might wonder as to why anyone would ever name that place the Latin Empire.

Personally, it would have made more sense to have a Latin Empire in the south.

I assume it was the Latin Empire because its rulers followed the Latin (Roman) Church.

Yep, as opposed to the overthrown Orthodox rulers.

It is indeed supposed to be a reference to the Fourth Crusade, with the United States representing the Byzantine Empire, which was attacked and carved up after European (and maybe Asian too?) neo-crusaders attacked it.

The Latin Empire is the unpopular Crusader state set up after the Sack of Washington D.C., ruled by European nobility.

New York and New England can be compared to the Greek duchies, also under Latin rule. I'm not sure what Cascadia is closest to - maybe Thessalonica, or perhaps the cities of the Crimea.

The three Byzantine American remnant states are California (Epirus), Atlanta (Nicaea) and Colorado (Trebizond).

North Mexico is the stand-in for the Sultanate of Rum, and so it is implied that it was established even before the Crusade. Texas is the rebellious Balkan states (Bulgaria? Serbia? One of those). Hispanic Florida is Armenian Cilicia, and Utah is, well, um, Utah (Albania, perhaps?)
