So, what's prompted the map changes?

or maybe you were not up to the task as much as France and Britain were not ?

Not really; Greece defeated Turkey four times in that war. It just couldn't defeat Soviet,France and Italy gifting you arms and stuff and hoping for the best :jesus:

Not to mention having a change of government and the new government deciding to remove all the generals and commanders to replace them with "their guys"......in the middle of a campaign.

your main concern should be the former chief of goverment generals who is now the secretary of defence of the palace cabinet . He asks , among other stuff , for empathy . That Tsipras should not visit islands surrendered by New Turkey for a false promise to enter the EU . Which is in itself false and a lie , 'cause the islands were surrendered for gaining Western favour as the Arab lands would soon be conquered . His problem is then A-K-P making crimes committed before the passing a law , punishable by that law . Which means in some infinitesimal probability that the former chief can end up swinging in a tree , as they create all sorts of bogeymen outta there to eat New Turkey as sweets after dinner . As for 1920s , if one is to factor everything , Spanish Influenza was the king . Ever read about very early wonder subs ? Runs on steam , huge submerged endurance , speed like a nuclear sub for a while . Getting rudimentary guided torpedoes . No American crossing the Atlantic means Kaiser would try using you as cannon fodder for the post war division and then abdicating after a while . Despite Venizelos brought up in the middle of a campaign .

Never gets old:

Who the hell posts spoilers to the Romance of the Three Kigndoms just like that?

It sure looks like a whole lot more than three.

Ah, but those aren't kingdoms, is the trick. Even in a fifteen-way civil war, not just anyone can go around calling themselves a king, not if they want to be taken seriously. You have to work your way up to that.

"the three kingdoms" aren't actually kingdoms either but "dynasties"

"three kingdoms" period doesn't begin until Sun Quan declares himself emperor in 229

most of the time before that on that timelapse is "just" warlordism

Warlordism is the best part of any Chinese dynastic transition by far.

Well, the Chinese term is "Sānguó", translating as the carefully neutral "three states", so it may be a moot point. "Kingdom" is probably preferred because, for Western audiences, it denotes sovereign status while allowing for recognition that none are placed among the canonical list of Chinese emperors.

yea but they use the word 國 pretty oddly too (see the warring states period)
also they are considered "canonical" empeors, mostly the Wei ones I think, but they aren't as "revered" as a lot of the others

(also yea my use of "dynasty" was a bit unclear because there are a few pre-imperial dynasties)

I like how the Rio Grande and Florida are so clearly defined, and then Louisiana is just a square block
