Currently working on a new Alt-hist. England stays Catholic.

It basically involveds Joanna of Castille dying during birth in 1500, along with Charles V. Furthermore, the male child Catherine of Aragon bares for Henry VIII does not die. Thus he sees no reason to go Catholic. Later, England and Spain will merge their crowns when Henry, the Duke of Cornwall comes to age.

I would have thought this too, because then Henry the Navigator would have died, but das said it had nothing to do with the Moors, so...

Well technically, the Portugese attacks on North Africa were seen as a continuation of the Reconquista, so either way it wouldn't really matter.

But if Castille and Aragon stayed divided, that might do it.
