Thanks a lot for the kopisfighter. i fit him right now in my building site. Meantime i was not inactive. I made a new skin for your msw_persi. He now looks like in the 300 movie. My first reskinn:)

Just a friendly heads up: the Carthage swordsman's hand actually pokes through the shield.

I always appreciate every warning on existing bug :goodjob:

I've just rechecked the unit's hand with nifscope, but it seems ok.
I can't test it in game now; I'll do that later.
Are you sure that you've runned it with the praetorian anim?

Ah, no, I ran it with the animation included in the download. I'll try it with the Praetorian animation.

The 7z contains several anim folders. Anim_praetorian is the right folder for carthage unit.
 
However, switching a sword is quite easy to do.

Sorry for this question at the wrong place, but
i now have the burning ambition to switch a weapon by myself. But i get caught, when i try to replace the old weapon with the new weapon. How do i get #56 to #28? Am I on the wrong track? I already tried a tutorial with no flash of inspiration. I put a screenshot in this thread.
 
For players, I've just released a first beta version of TAM Ethnic Units, which is playable with the latest TAM BTS version.

For modders, it could be very interesting because it contains the latest versions of each unit I've made since 9 months.
Furthermore it contains full XML code that you may copy/paste to fit my units into your private mods.

Hey Ambrox, I was just wondering what animations I am supposed to use with the Babylonian Heavy Spearman? Right now I'm using <KFM>Art/Units/Spearman/Spearman.kfm</KFM> right now. Am I supposed to use one of your custom animations (i.e. the ones that came with the set) or can I ust use a vanilla animation and I chose the wrong one?

And, I guess if anyone besides Ambrox knows and can help that'd be good too. I just noticed that the way the unit I have in my screen is carrying his shield, and the way he is carrying his shield in Ambrox' screen is different.

P.S. I am really looking forward to your upcoming unit sets. :goodjob:
 
The right anim is the CharleMagne heavy spearman one, as stated in the animation guideline (included in the original package) or in the introducing text (in the download link).

If you are using my units in your mods, check carefully each unit-anim link because, especially in the latest releases, I used several anims for the same unit type. For example, the HS set (i.e. units into the hsa_* folders) use CharleMagne, Holkan and Phalanx anims, while all my previous bronze spearmen (i.e. units into the hsp_* folders) use the Vanilla spearman anim only.

Currently I have my graphics workstation PC under repairing, but I'm pretty sure to complete the current set in a month.
 
I've just released a 25 bowmen package

I used vanilla bowman mesh as base for 8 different models, adding heads and working on textures.
