Ambrox Classical Age Units

I've just released a 24 Heavy Cavalry units set.

This set reproduces a early pre-medieval cavalry version, covering the timeline between Roman Imperial Age and Barbarian Invasions. Roman and Goth apart, all remaining units are fictional because involved civs didn't exist at that time. There are 10 different kind of cavalry units upon 12 different painted horses, using sword or spear as weapons.

great great job Ambrox ! :) Again ... ;)

Thanks everyone for the kind and encouraging words on my latest cavalry units.
I've introduced lots of new textures for the rider's body, and I've used and modified other existing ones for the remaining parts. Bakuel' heads has been also important. :goodjob:
Next step will be infantry units as soon as I'll resolve a blender/maceman importing issue ;)

The set contains 6 different kind of units, based on a slightly reworked maceman mesh, with modified heads, and equipped with a long double-hands sword. I did a major effort on textures.

Aren't the Roman soldiers a bit "what-if" too? IIRC around the time of the Barbarian Invasions, their army hardly resembled that of the early Empire's Legionaires, in fact I am pretty sure their armor was leather-based by then.

Anyway, they look great as usual. Is there anything left for you to make or is this it?

@The_J
Yes, "infantry" isn't the best word. These are post-heavy-spearmen units in the mod.

@The Capo
I would complete TAM with a (full fictional) set of heavy infantry units (i.e post-infantry units), hopefully before Civ5 release date :)

99% perfect models... what about a shield? with that they would be perfect. :D

Do they use a shield when they fight with double-hands swords?

And of course: Great work with the units. :goodjob:
