VERY disappointed with the Poland change. What the actual heck? They acknowledged that Khmer had problems with relics so they fixed it with them. Poland is still weak and now even weaker because who honestly even cares about culture bombs? They threw that in as an aside for the Netherlands, it's not an important ability.
This makes me very, very upset. Nobody was complaining about this at all.
Well, they likely chose to show off the flashiest and most drastic changes in the standalone update video, so the biggest changes are already beyond us. These are just the milder balance changes.
Man-At-Arms at Apprenticeship (Gaul yay). Requires iron.
Trebuchet at Military Engineering (same as Domrey before it)
Line Infantry at Military Science. Requires niter.
I think the Kongo changes are an overall buff, but that really is a rather small sliver of Faith. I kind of wish it was +2, especially considering it only comes into play rather late.
Somewhat disappointed that the Men-at-Arms comes at Apprenticeship and the Line Infantry comes at Military Science, and not Military Tactics and Rifling respectively.
Would've been a good way to increase the value of those techs, especially in the case of Rifling. I guess it makes more sense to have those units come earlier in the era though, so we avoid the situation of the Civ V Longswordsmen. Still, could've added something to make Rifling less of a dog-doo tech.
