Are the Jews and Israel a pawn in West Crusade?

One reason the Crusades failed over and over again canturies ago is after winning victories in battle the crusaders went back home and then Jerusalem would get captured again because not enough defenders.

Actually, the reason is that they got crushed at Hattin because of stupid strategic mistakes. At the time of this defeat, the Crusader States were quite strong enough to fend for themselves.

Though considering the thread, I'm pretty sure I'm just feeding some pretty low-level troll.

I don't think this is the main purpose of every of Cohen's movies (although Borat is not the only of his characters which is an anti-Semite - the Dictator is an anti-Semite as well). His anti-Semite jokes, funny at the beginning, start to be tiresome when repeated all over again - what was funny in Borat, is no longer that funny in the Dictator because it becomes routine.

But Borat was good because he was also mocking the ignoramus American society. And this, I think, was the main theme.

BTW - justyfing what Cohen does because he is Jewish, is not a good idea. Why should a Jew have more rights to play anti-Semitic characters or behave in an anti-Semitic way (whether these really are his views or not - in case of Cohen perhaps not) than a non-Jew? That's a discrimination.

And - due to the same reason - we can't say that if someone is Jewish, he can't be an anti-Semite.

There are - and historically were - many examples of Jews who were anti-Semites at the same time.

What I find funny is that when I say something bad about Israel or America, guys from America and from Israel act in exactly the same way as I act when they say something bad about Poland.

No, anti-Semitism isn't even mentioned all that often. It's to provoke a reaction. If you think Americans are so stupid just because they don't know much about Kazakhstan, well maybe you haven't traveled much, because most other people don't either. Many people who commented on the movie were surprised at how polite most people were towards him. I don't even recall anyone making racist or xenophobic remarks towards him, but it has been awhile since I've seen the movie. You might think Americans were dumb because they didn't realize it was a joke, but then you do realize the movie was edited quite a bit don't you? You don't see a single person who realized it was a joke because they were edited out of the movie. Probably a lot of people thought it was something strange but they just went along with it because, well what else to do? I guess if you think Americans are mostly stupid and xenophobic it will just go along with your prejudices but it really says a lot more about you.
