Are you in a relationship?

Are you in a relationship?

Sadly that's impossible. The worst of both worlds comes with the package.

Also, some of you referenced someone you like being in a relationship as a reason you're not in a relationship with said person. I'm sorry, but how is this a deterrent again?

WOOO ANTI SOCIAL BRO IN THE HOUSE RIGHT HERE WOOOO
KEGGER AT MY PLACE FOR ALL US ANTI SOCIAL PEEPS!
Which is why I think it's generally a bad idea for college kids to engage in long-term relationships. College is supposed to be a time when you are focusing your attention on meeting new people, trying out new things, having fun and broadening your horizons. I fail to see how spending all of your time, money and energy on some dullard girlfriend helps to achieve these objectives.

Barf. The happiest people I know got in serious relationships in the later half of college and stayed in them. Trust me I've done the whole "meet new people try new things have fun tons of fun too much fun broaden my horizons" and I can say life's better when you have someone good to spend it with. Even someone who isn't that exciting as long as she makes you happy.

I know excitement. It's overrated.

Note to all the kids, if your relationship is like "she is awesome, this would be making me happy if only...." you need to take a hard look at things, realize she sucks (for you, and always will), and get out :p

This post would go great with your sig if the first quote in your sig was from you instead of someone else.... :D

Somewhere in the last 20 posts or so this thread starting oozing with testosterone...

Why the obsession with vaginas? They're disgusting.

Boobies are better.

I beg to differ. Only strange vaginas are disgusting. But when you are with someone you love deeply, it's the most beautiful thing in the world. Personally, I can't have sex with strangers (prostitutes, or one night stand), because of the ick factor (and also because of my shyness). But when you are with someone you love, everything is beautiful and perfect.

I'm beginning to realize that it is possible that I am not a lovable person. In that, it's not possible for any woman to love me in a romantic way. I've been trying to turn my friends with benefits situation into a real relationship for the longest time. And today, after talking with her, I've come to the realization that will never happen. I have never had a gf, or any woman that wanted to make a life with me. I finally find someone to sleep with me, but they still don't want me as a bf.

I know I shouldn't drink when I'm feeling sad, but I will be putting several beers away tonight. It sucks when you love someone, and they don't love you back the way you want them to.

Why not have the best of both worlds?

Well that saying is specific to transsexuals, since you have a girl you can pleasure and the can pleasure you. Hence you get get the best of both world's or that is the reasoning behind the saying.

I just wish humans didn't need relationships. Why can't we be happy alone?

Because that is not conducive to the rearing of human children, who, unlike in other species are born relatively immature and in need of specialized skills that require years of teaching in order to be able to survive and function.
