Ask a Girl

Apologies for the 'larger ladies' quote. I don't mean to sound fatist. What I trying to get accross was that perhaps some girls should play to their strengths. Some girls who aren't the slimest can still look stunning because men quite like 'curves'. I don't understand why a someone would wear something two sizes too small rather than just subtly using the 'curves'.

I'm I coming off as MSP or what? I'll shut up if so.
no, your not your fine dont worry. I do know what you mean about people not accepting their clothes size and trying to squeeze themselves into something tiny.

Has Abbadon posted a picture of you (with him of course,) in this thread? Members Photos VII
yes on page 46. but they're gay photos. i tihnk theres one of me in the babe thread too. however there are LOTS of picutres of him with other girls too :(

Wow, that is a lot of boozing. Apparantly the BBC wasn't lying when they said British women are the biggest drinkers in Europe (or something like that).

I'm a student!

Why do women/girls need SOOO many pairs of shoes?

Linky, since I have not been following this thread .
So you expect her to trawl through the thread to save you the trouble of looking for it yourself? That's pretty cheeky CivG

Fine, I'll for myself .

I didn't follow the whole thread, but my gut feeling tells me that this thread is going to stay on the first page for a very very long time.

Good luck girls.

Do girls in middle/high school have some underground organization that boys don't know about or am I just paranoid?:crazyeye:

Golden Touch,
I have a bit of a dilemma. My fiancee' hates smoking. My best friend and boat partner's fiancee' smokes. I have been informed by my fiancee' that she does not want to be on the boat all summer since the other girl smokes and she doesn't want to be around a smoker. In fact, my fiancee' has suggested I sell the boat which was soundly defeated. Can you think of any way around this without starting a cat fight or creating tension between my friend and I?

Which archetype tends to be better: 'blonde and blue-eyed' ot 'tall and dark...'?

Why do girls like dancing so much?

When you dress your boyfriend in poncy 'stylish' stuff, are you trying to make him such a figure of fun that he'll never excite another girl's interest?

If you like muscles, what do you think of sweat? Lots of pictures that I'm told are sexy are of men working, with a sheen on their skin, but girls also seem to recoil from men fresh from the rugby pitch.

What kind of a boat is this? if its a big one maybe you could kindly suggest that your friends fiancee goes up on deck for her smoking. or if its a wee one, she sits at the back and you go fast so all the smoke blows away. I'm assuming your fiancees only problem with her being a smoker is that it means your girl has to inhale her smoke and breathe it in, thats easily mended!
Just speak to your buddy in a boy way you know 'my missus is being really girly and stupid and i TOTALLY dont agree but would you mind awfully old chap if....'.
that help?

Do you think in general large groups of men thrown together in a situation such as living together at uni are likely to get into less conflict than groups of girls living in close quarters? If so, why?

It's reasonably big and we don't allow people to smoke in the cabin so that helps. I will have that conversation with him and there's plenty of room on the front of the boat so we can designate that as the smoker's lounge. Where I see the problem developing is when others are on board that smoke and we're playing drinking games (presidents and a-holes is a favorite) or something.

Staying on track...you said long distance relationships are tough and I'll confirm they are. What are you two going to do about that to keep the spark?

I am definately a girl. last time I checked. :crazyeye:

Are all British girls as cool as you, and can I have one too? :D

But seriously, dating in the United States is such a drag. From what I hear, European women are far less manipulative and temperamental than American women. Here they seem to be concerned with furthering some ulterior goal, such as taking your money, or having you do errands for them; essentially, the tasks of a lackey; and all for the sake of their company alone. As a man, you have to be ridiculously callous to shrug off such attempts. Is it true that European girls are more easy-going and less difficult to please? Because if it is, I think I may go on a trip.

As someone who was once a nice guy, and who was married and now divorced, I can say for certain that nice guys definitely finish last.

If by nice guy you mean "human doormat" I agree. However, you can be nice without being a door mat, and still be desirable to chicks.

there we go photos of miss agony aunt golden touch on the members photos thread. I will answer some more questions tonight..right now i'm off to do a few more hours revision and meet abaddon for a pint. yummy...

No, they aren't! A woman cannot be satisfied ever! You may try your best, but she will always tell you she wanted the opposite.
I've been trying to understand what my wife really wants for 9 years now, and still haven't found. Marriage is an ever going discovery and adventure ;)

no, and no. They're all spoken for already.

In my experience, yes, English girls are more laid back and more sensible about relationships. American culture places such a huge emphasis on 'dating' that a girl who is desirable at all will have a lot of guys ask to do things for her. When she finds a guy that she likes she'll expect him to do all these things, even if she actually likes him because he's not such a doormat. It's mixed up.
I should add that it's a trend I've noticed, not an absolute certainty.

Over here girls are less likely to dress up and make themselves look good, except for rare occasions. I know about 150 students in Oxford well enough to speak about their habits, and they all seem to wear jeans and relatively boring tops most of the time, and only use make-up, nail polish and other nice things on really big nights out.

When I was in America (Boston), and with Americans I've met here, the girls seem far more inclined to look good all the time, which is nice, although not worth the price they expect in return.
