Not IMO. If a girl is pretty no amount of ugly clothes can truly blot it out (unless you put a veil on her) and if a girl is ugly you could dress her us like a princess and she'll still be ugly.

Now, obviously a girl can look better in some outfits than others (tight sweaters are nice as are short skirts) but the clothes will never make (or break) the lady.

Seriously, eyeliner and an evening gown is a turn on. A girl who spends time on her appearance will look better, and that includes the clothes and make up she wears, not just staying fit.

The only girls who look better with better clothes are the ones who were hot in the first place. The clothes are placed in such a way as to get a man to take notice of certain features. Women don't actually look any better when wearing certain clothes. It's just that certain features, which were already attractive, may be more noticeable in some clothes (or make-up) than others. When ugly girls try the same thing, it doesn't work out. For example, a woman may wear a low-cut top to show off her breasts, or a backless dress to show how tall, lean, and graceful she is. It's only an illusion that they look "better".

Lingerie is even more obvious about it. As far as I'm concerned, lingerie is nice, but if you're going to wear it in my presence, be prepared to remove it quickly, or else I'll have to.

But now you're talking about different things. There's a woman's basic attractiveness: how she looks naked, and then there's how she looks to your eyes.
You've mixed the two up. Sure, clothes don't alter the first one, by definition, but they certainly alter the second, even if the second is limited by the first.

There are some girls who look far better with some clothes on.

I expect that it also depends on how imaginative a guy is. If you can dream beautiful things about what a girl keeps under her clothes and you're into the whole mystery/teasing thing then you might find a girl very sexy in the right clothes, but far more mundane naked.

Maybe suggest you go out to dinner one night so she's all dressed up and do something extra she wont expect like the theatre or somewhere where you can dance, or even better suggest a new restaurant out of town and stay in a local B and B (note to you, pack some clean underwear, some makeup remover and basics like that so she can rellllaxxxx) Or surprise her by learning how to massage. No, men aren't socially incompetent. I just think their social life is different to a womans. less crucial for their piece of mind. I would go mad without a gossip with my girls at least once a week, a guy can go 2 months without seeing a buddy.

Amazing question. But also unanswerable. For me the spark is a feeling you get, a buzz of excitement on the first meeting that never goes away. You always get nervous about seeing that person because they make you feel on edge in the most incredible way. Its initally about sexual atraction but that spark can flash up at any point on a comment he makes, or when he touches you or when he laughs in a particularly sexy way or when he does something for you that he knows you'll love. Its the most amazing thing in the world.
Can I describe why it happens? Hell no. Noone has that answer. Not even a girl.
