I saw all those ask threads, Economist, doctor and even unemployed, so I decided to put my expertise to good use.

If you have any question regarding home appliances buying selling or reparing ask me and I will try to get you the best answers to your questions. :)

EDIT: Also, its the time to buy Air conditionners. Im good in the AC departement.

Has anyone ever attacked you with religious symbols?
I don't understand the question but no! I had to endure a ''Raelien'' listening on his religion non-sence for an hour to sell him a washing machine.

What exactly do you sell?

Do they sell them in Brushed Steel?

no they dont .. either white, red, blue or black

Brushed steel is hard to clean and I don't recommend it !

Home appliances ''refrigerators, range, washers, dryers and dishwashers'' and the little trinkets you need in a kitchen (small appliances)

What is the laziest appliance you've come across? (eg apple corer etc.)

The Lg internet and tv refrigerator. This refrigerator has a TV on the front and a computer on top ... you can acces internet from your refrigerator or listen to tv .. heck the refrigerator can even order your food at the supermarket (in some places in the world like US and Japan) :)

I wish this thread had come up a month ago, I've just purchased a stove and chest-freezer. Though I'm happy with the stove, and the freezer hasn't arrived yet.

But anyway... How negotiable are store prices, do you think? Can you nudge a discount if you're buying multiple items? Is there a time of the day, week, month, to get better deals?

Here in Quebec prices are negociable, the bigger the contract the bigger the rebate. roughly you can get a 10% discount if you play your cards right (won't work with me Im a hard bargain). There is no time of day or week or year to get bettre rebates but keep looking for advertised sales, usually if a sale is a 15% off ... run and buy! Boxing day is always a good day to look around (usually items that are not on sale are on boxing day) Try to know when the new houses are build and delivered around where you live, this gives you an approximate on when the sales will be done. Usually sales are better when there are less ppl buying, so after new houses are dilevered!

what type of salesman are you? e.g. door to door etc

No Im a retail salesman. Right now Im the manager of the store I work in but I still leave my office between 2 posts to go and sell :goodjob:
I work at Corbeil Home appliances, they have 32 stores in Quebec and 2 in ontario. Never did door to door and I will never do it, let the clients come to me instead of having it the other way.

Do you ever feel that you are ripping some one off?

Yes I feel that every day I work. Especially when I have to sell waranty prolongations. But what's fun about being a salesman is that you learn how to make the client sell the item to themselfs, so they rip themself off. I try to get my clients to pay less If I can!:)

I sold once a 50,00$ toaster with a 40,00$ warranty extention. :goodjob: That is ripping off a client :goodjob:

but isnt it the warrantly where you make a bonus? So getting shifting them!

Well, I have a "Delonghi" brushed steel toaster, toasts wonderfully, never had an issue cleaning it.

Never trust a salesman!
