It will be imperative that we find someone with CB quickly. In my test game with them I quickly ran out of suitable build options and had to resort to warrior, warrior, etc. 2 boats were enough for seeking other civs. It will be important to get a temple ASAP if we go for 20K culture win. Byz would lend itself to diplo win. Perhaps if you set a few opponents to religious we would be able to trade for CB quicker.

I recant the previous post. Byz is fine with me and I'm hoping for a space race after reading his.

So have we decided on a civ? Byzantines? I'd still like to try Babylon, but Byzantium is fine too.

Note that I was very lucky with the resources. They are very rare in C3C and that can make Space impossible. You should always have a back-up plan, like UN.

Thats an excellent start for a OCC. River, 2 BGs, plains & grasslands, and only 2 tiles of water. All your missing is a bonus food, but who knows what the fog will reveal.
4000: Move worker onto the mountain. Sees another hut, and more forests. Found Constantiople where the settler starts.
Start CB at full, due in 13. It sure is helpful to get 4 spt on the founded tile

What does the group think about after 2nd scout curraugh we go temple? We will need the happiness with the settler pop adding and the culture can't hurt.
How many turns are we doing?
BTW, I just completed a personal OCC monarch win with Babylon. Culture victory with Rome 4 turns from launching. Had the UN quite a bit earlier but kept ending with a 3 way tie between Hiawatha and Ceasar. Also, never had even on fight with civs.
