Preturn - Wow, I cant believe you have coal, iron, horses and saltpeter on your island! 3 sources of coal! 2 horses! Lucky lucky lucky. Anyway I move a cav one further north to give the English settler less options. Have read through a bit, and will make sure I buy RP before ToE finishes.

Turn 01 (1810AD) - Shuffle some cavs as the settlers move.

IBT - Maya and England sign peace.

Turn 02 (1812AD) - More shuffling. Yay 1 turn til RP, ToE in 2! Reduce research to 30%, still in 1. +168gpt.

IBT - Spain and Portugal sign embargo against us. England land some troops (2 ACs and a settler.

Turn 03 (1814AD) - Have a little freak out cos we is size 21 and dont have Medicine :crazyeye: RP -> Atomic Theory. Switch off research. Switch scientist to Civil engineer :satan: then back to taxman. Rubber appears just east of marseille. Pull the line back and close up. Kill a french horseman and cover cav with rifle.

IBT - settlers back away, English settle on the spot. dangit.

Turn 04 (1816AD) - ToE -> Atomic Theory and Electronics gained. Start Radio. Hmm 38spt, and civil engineer wont add his two shields :cry: Kill a french longbow.
Indians wander a settler set around. French drop a Pike, MI and 2 horse on the fortress north of our City, ah thats why that MI was there :p

Turn 05 (1818AD) - Kill pike and spear in marseilles and raze it. Ah thats why I love rails, send 4 cavs down from the line to take out the pesky french troops and send them back into the line again. I have railed to our Incense and our Coal.

IBT - India settle nearish to our Coal and take the Rubber :(
Turn 06 (1820AD) - Make peace with France for 39 gold and 33gpt. Make peace with Portugal for 130gold. Sell Sci Meth to Spain for WM, 70gold and 48gpt. England just got Industrialisation. They will give us all their money plus Ind for AT. Hmm wait a turn I think.

Turn 07 (1822AD) - Spend 22 gold and investigate this new Indian city. It has a musket and a sword in it and is currently building a settler, to finish in 28 turns. No threat to our coal yet. Check out Exeter near our incense for 20gold. They have no coal, are building a worker and have a crusader, 2 ACs, 3 galleons and a galley in it. Check out Taejon for 19 gold. They have a rifle in there and build a worker in 6 turns once they grow big enough. Not sure if this is too risky but I try and steal carefully from England. Costs 3200gold ish and succeeds. We have industrialization. [party] Start factory. oh just now spot an extra rubber in the deep south forest. Workers unite and head off, picks in hand singing the "Hi Ho" song. Sell Medicine to Zulu for 29gpt and 10gold. Sell Sci Meth to Iroquios for 52gpt and WM. Sell Sci Meth to Korea for 30gpt and 40gold. Laugh at everyone else and their lack of money! haha... We have 476gold and do +178gpt at 100% research.

Turn 10 (1828AD) - Mayan Galley/Frigate combo spotted. Check we have no MAs against anyone and pay Mayans 220gold to make peace. We have 15073 culture. 80cpt atm so 5000/80 = 63 turns til 20k win. Damn this is gonna be my only turn in this game :lol:

Turn 11 (1830AD) - Woah, Koreans settle Manp'o close to rubber but not close enough. Railroads continue to get closer.

IBT - Iroquois and Zulu sign MPP.

Turn 12 (1832AD) - Wow suddenly France has some money, sell Steam to them for 49gpt and 50gold.

IBT - England land se of our city. Settler set.

Turn 13 (1834AD) - Factory -> Hydro Plant. Due in 4 turns with 2 civil engineers. Road to Rubber finished. We dont really need Coal anymore :p Sell MT to Portugal for 11gpt and 20gold. We now do +200gpt at 100% research.

Turn 14 (1836AD) - Rubber Colony is up. Upgrade all rifles (3) to infantry.

Turn 15 (1838AD) - Try and block some space around rubber colony. Trade AT for The Corporation, Fascism, WM and 550gold with England. Trade AT to India for 24gpt, Communism and 46 gold. Sell AT to Iroquois for 6gpt and 30gold.

And thats that.

Hydro in 2 turns. 2274gold in the bank, +230gpt. Up Electronics on most of the AI, plus a lot more on others.

14 turns to Radio.

Not at war with anyone.

Not selling anything to anyone.

No chance of deal breaking as its only them paying me gpt.

Lovely little game.

Should be an easy 20k victory in about 60 turns.

Chop forest next to Constaniople. Notice how railroads do not afftct forest tiles. I get same production with a mined BG, and get an extra food. Constantiople now to grow in 13 turns.

1840: No one will land land. I create a worker blockade of our 1 coast :D.

Constaniople is at 16594 culture, and our total culture is 16663 .....still :confused:
Constaniople set to grow in 2 turns, and Universal Sufferage (4cpt) is due in 2 also.
 
I think the difference between the city and the civ culture number has to do with culture accumulation during anarchy periods.
 
This looks in the bag! Will be busy gathering culture. Maybe the AI's are coming to our island to try to immigrate.
 
OCC – 1866AD 15 turns to play

Pre-turn – First thing I notice is the nice unit blockade we have in the north. The second is a lot of slaves building rails E of our city in tiles we will never use. I take almost all of them off to build forts up north to hold infantry someday. Portugal has a settler pair in our lands and will undoubtably be heading towards iron/incense. We have 4 turns left on a 11gpt he is paying us so he can live until he gets close, then I’m taking slaves. US comes in 2 turns from now so that is nice. It’s inf time after that and we have cash to rush them. We are at peace but probably not for long. Nice to see England and Maya at war since they are the big dogs and most likely the only ones that can cause us any trouble. I spend some money investigating the cities that might threaten our resources on expansion and the English city Exeter is building a library due in 75 turns. The others are all on settlers.

IT – Portugals settler/horse moves towards our city. Its only a horse though. An English crus/sett pair pop out from southern city.
[1] 1868 – Nothing but I can sell incense to smoke for spices, 14gpt and 80g. Done.
IT – US comes in. Rush an inf for 400g.
[2] 1870 – Couple of forts finish.
IT – Inf > Inf. England signs up India to help against the Maya.
[3] 1872 – We have 16911 culture or 37 turns left. Rush another inf. BTW, Im rushing these by rushing worker for 80g and then switching to inf and rushing for 320g. It’s cheaper than the 720g straight rush. Portugal has one turn of peace left.
IT – India and Iro’s MPP. Inf > Inf
[4] 1874 – I tell Henry to get lost and he does south of us near Korean city. Freeing up the elite cavs with the infantry allows me to blockade English settlers. AT to Wang gets Espionage, Ironclads, 58gpt, 30g and WM. AT to Maya get 65gpt.
IT – Pollution strikes. Inf > Rushed inf
[5] 1876 – Have England settler well hemmed in.
[6] 1878 – Still no decent deals for Electronics.
[7] 1880 - Iro and Zulu are now at war with Maya . Only Spain and Portugal are at peace with him.
[8] 1882 – Stopped rushing infantry because the S is sealed off from settler incursions.
[9] 1884 – The intelligence agency is available in 6 but I see no need for it right now. More infantry. I also think we should irrigate our city some more for cash. We’re never getting to 100spt and 55spt for Mech Inf every other turn is fine.
[10] 1886 – Pollution strikes again. :arggh:
[11] 1888 – Inf > Inf. These Ai are not helping with research at all. Give Shaka Steam for pocket change.
[12] 1890 - Portugal jumps on the Mayan dogpile. Only 6 more forts left to build on the northern front. An inf in every one and we are set.
[13] 1892 – Inf > Inf. We can get 260gpt from Iros for Electronics but I would rather wait for Refining and Combustion or the others have some cash. They don’t. This tech is premium so don’t give it up until yo can get a premium deal.
[14] 1894 – Nada
[15] 1896 – Five forts left to build.

Steel in 2. Again, I would suggest that once forts are complete we can use workers to maximize cash for research times by irigatng our city down to 50-55 spt. 50 for now for 2 turn taks and inf and then we can mine for 55spt when Mech inf get here if we see the game that far.

Ugh, I'm sorry but I've been sick lately and haven't been able to think about Civ very much.
I'll try to have my turns tomorrow, though I certainly wouldn't begrudge it if you thought it better to skip me.

Preturn - Check out the cities of Exeter, Chittagong and Taejon. Taejon still building a Settler (due in 7), Exeter library (due in 60 turns) and Chittagong worker (due in 4). Constantinople has 17849 culture at 84cpt. We need 2151 so 2151/84 = 25.6 so 26 turns til the win. Next player then ;) Sell Electronics to the Iroquois for Sanitation, WM, 63gpt and 570gold. Switch build from Inf to Intelligence agency (it gives 1cpt, due in 6 turns).

Turn 01 (1898AD) - Start Building some forts, yawn a bit. research to 80%, +221gpt.

Turn 02 (1900AD) - Steel -> Refining, 100%, +156gpt due in 16 turns. Pollution hits.

Turn 03 (1902AD) - Workers clear pollution. Sell Communism to Zulu for WM, 6gpt and 20gold. Sell Radio to Iroquois for Refining, 260gpt and 320gold. Then sell him steel for 62gpt and 6 gold. Sell Electronics to Korea for 50gpt and 15gold. Sell communism to France for 3gpt and 27 gold. Sell Electricity to Zulu for 15gpt and 7gold. OK so now we make 527gpt on 100% research. Start combustion due in 19turns.

IBT - Korea and Maya sign peace, England and France offer the suicidal MPPs again.

Turn 04 (1904AD) - Spain demands Electronics, I give in, I dont care. Build another fort, 2 to go?

Turn 06 (1908AD) - Intelligence Agency -> Infantry. Spain gives 29gpt and 40gold for Steel. Sell Steel to India for 100gpt and 150gold. Now doing +656gpt.

Turn 07 (1910AD) - More worker actions. 1561/85 = 19turns.

IBT - England and Maya sign peace. Portugal and Maya sign peace.

Turn 08 (1912AD) - Infantry -> Civil Defence. Our cash goes over the 10k mark! We have enough troops to cover 18 turns.

IBT - Damn Exeter expands, they kick our troops and Build Bristol taking our Incense. Also worse still we lose Spices! We were trading a lux and I didnt know :cry: There goes our rep finally.

Turn 09 (1914AD) - But! Korea will still offer gpt deals so maybe our rep hasnt died.

IBT - England kicks our troops again. India and Maya sign peace.

Turn 10 (1916AD) - Irrigation of Constantinople begins. Line reformed.

Turn 11 (1918AD) - Civil defence -> Polica Station. 3 mines left. +44spt. Sell radio to korea for 52gpt and 20gold. Sell Industrialisation to France for 11gpt and 20gold.

IBT - Korea offer MPPs lol.

Turn 12 (1920AD) - Get bored, build some radio towers.

Turn 13 (1922AD) - Make faces at English troops over the border.

Turn 14 (1924AD) - Constantinople grows to size 24.

IBT - Zulu and Maya make peace. Iroquois build hoover dam.

Turn 15 (1926AD) - Police Station -> artillery. Chittagong expands, takes our coal, who cares. Sell Radio to Spain for 25gpt and 100gold.
