If having a life outside of modding was preventing it, how did he just release a few Civ4 models?

He obviously switched gears... but he IS doing Civ4 models, not sipping martinis on the beach.

I usually diversify my work - working too long on something makes it borring.
Don't worry i didn't put Fallshirmjaeger on the "shelf".
Predator was started before Fallschirmjaeger. Liberator was exception - a weekend work - i usually make on weekends something bigger.
I have also on the desk U-2 Dragonlady (wich was requesled long ago ) and Arado Ar-234. I can't promise what be first and how fast - it depends both on real life activity and vein.

The "Dragon and his Tail" will be B-24J. It has just different nose, from D version?

It also has the side guns in the tail boom (called beam guns) and the ball turret. The rest wouldn't be noticeable at the level of detail that Civ4 models operate at (unless you want 1400+ polys).

I would even say it's why USA won the war Germans had boring camo on the planes (BTW Arado Ar 234 will be finished in couple of minutes ), and USA had nice nosearts wich made faster heart beating, add extra dopamine and serotonine, and that made pilots invincible

Actually, he finally reuploaded that one today. At present he can't decide whether to do the Japanese plane or the Martin B-10. (Personally I think either is fine, but you have been waiting a very long time for that one... )
