Babylon Reign

Thanks for your understanding Thiazi. Part of me is enjoying the extra time for this turn also. It is really racking to actually have commitments to play and fulfill them nonetheless. However, I'm sure that I'll be beggin to play after a good nights rest. Good night everyone!

Looking forward to reading your accounts, gonzo. I know I left you with a good deal of units to have to move about, but hopefully they'll fare well against the Aztecs.

Your and Thiazi's turns are bound to be quite warlike. I hope that you are able to get a great leader. With the Forbidden Palace almost complete in .... I think it's Beijing... it would be nice to rush a regular palace in a former English city. London may be a good choice.

I know that we'll lose the double-culture score from the original, but the extra production we can get out of those cities will be well worth it.

Looking at the Aztec lands, we stand to gain extra wine and spices. Settling near the dyes out in the southeast would be nice too. It could give us ALL of the luxuries available. Selling more of these to the Russians could keep them at bay as well!

Can't wait to see what transpires......

I got a day off of work!! I get to stay home and play some civIII. I should be posting in 3-4 hours!!!!! :) :D :)

Here's the file, summary coming :)

Well, two, almost three days past but it finally arrived... the save-file from GOD...

Well thiazi pleas play fast... I have Babylon Reign Mania!!!

Ok, here it is. It isn't in story form, but that's cause I'm lazy;)

1250 - Kish founded
1260 - A great leader was formed! Sargon is his name.
1265 - Aztec settler captured, Russia is cautios towards us so I gave them 300 gold and a w/map for an MPP and an RoP. They are now gracious:)
1270 - Nippar founded, Ixtapaluca razed
1275 - Aztec settler captured
1280 - Forbiden palace built in Beijing
1285 - Russia acts on our MPP and declares war on the Aztecs.
1290 - Science raised to 40 to dramatically increase science, Susa razed.
1300 - Some city starting with an H razed.
1305 - Tarsus captured
1315 - Size 9 persepolis razed yielding 6 workers :)
1320 - Declared war on Persia and took Gordium.
1330 - Printing Press disc, Mettalurgy started.
1335 - Malinalco captured, Tamuin razed, Cempoala captured, Aztecs and Russia at peace.
1340 - Arbela razed, Persia respawned on the half-continent S. of Russia.
1345 - Persia launches severe counter attacks and kills 3 elite knights.
1350 - Tlatelolco razed :)

Well, I killed a LOT of Aztec cities and their whole empire can be viewed on one screen almost. They will keep trying to attack knights with longbowmen so watch out. I tried to hold up on the attacks last turn to let units heal up for the next ruler. The Aztecs must fall. I sent 1 knight to attack the new persian city. It should be enough. Good luck! :)

Well, two, almost three days past but it finally arrived... the avefile from GOD...

Hey now, don't make me come over there.......
:nuke: :nuke: :nuke: :nuke: :nuke: :nuke:

Hehe, maybe you know me bye now...

I'm an Civ-aholic!

Well come over here I know some Viking-Kung Fu!!!

EDIT: how do you get an image under your name?

Ok, then I'll play...

then Silverblade

Kev
Gonzo
and you Thiazi (if you don't wanna play earlier)

EDIT: how do you get an image under your name?

Easy, you click the button in the upper right corner of the screen called user cp. When you are in there click on edit options and scroll down to where it says 'avatar'. The avatar is the image. Click where it says change avatar and choose an avatar from the gigantic list provided.

Oh yeah, I'll counter your viking-kung-fu with a little Danish-Fu. I am 1/8 danish you (dont) know. So why dont you just sit down there friend;)

1/8 Danish... Hah!

heh heh... haha haah hwe bwaha haa ahhaahha ahhh!!!

Well I'm 100% Viking.

50% Swedish, 50% Icelandic.

1/8 danish... hmm hehe...

:goodjob: Anyway, keep up the good spirit team. And you too 1/8 Danish Gonzo.

(I'm not meaning anything wrong with this post Gonzo, I'm not even teasing you...)

lol grey fox. No offense taken. At least the Danish people can give an accurate weather report. None of this crazy Iceland is green and Greenland is ice stuff. ;)

Well, no matter what your background or nationality is, you seem to be playing well, so you can be spared, for now.......

Keep up the good work everyone, soon Aztecland(or whatever they call it) shall be destroyed!!!!

Oh yeah, I like your avatar. Someone really smart taught you that I bet........ :)

Well Gonzo, you seem like a man with humour... and I even if you are 7/8 american (are you?) I might think of you as a freind.

Well about that I don't know if knowing how you can change the avatar image is smart... do you?

HER THE IMAGE COMES:

city-square.gif

The red dot is the capital. The blue dots are the nearby cities.
These cities will (on a large map) be the only cities with low waste / corruption. These cities will be the Core Area of yuor empire. It should be adjusted a little for smaller maps. The buildings not in this area should be built with a distance of 6-7. And then you should rush temple/library/coloseum/cathedral (maybe a marketplace if many citizens and you have many luzaries), and the only improvement these cities need is irrigation and road/railroad. (If going for a high score build aqueduct / hosptals to get a lot of citizens and then make 'em happy)

After that I'll go to sleep and when I wake up I will play, and Silverblades play should be in time for you "Americans" to play.

Time is 4:35 AM (Good I'm in College, have no class tomorrow :) )

Great job, Gonzo! I knew the Aztecs were doomed.

What ever happened with good 'ol Sargon? Did he build a Palace somewhere?

Looks like we'll have to start building some settlers soon. With all of the razing and the still-unsettled lands there's probably some key areas that we should claim. I can see lots of "Silver" cities in the near future :)

Also, we may want to see if the Aztecs have anything to offer for a brief peace once they are down to a few cities. They may have metallurgy on their own or even Banking or something, and we may get a few cities from them without having to fight for them. We should try to bleed them of what they have before laying down the final hammer.

I can't wait to finally start taking it to Catherine. After metallrugy let's go right into military tradition and upgrade all of those knights! Kickin!

Grey and Silver: Looking forward to reading your accounts when I am awake on "American" time. Enjoy! :)

I noticed we have a leader called Sagon.

What should we do with him?

Move the palace?

Then where should the pwerfect location be?

If we are going to be waring against the russians a Palace near them should be great (not so many flips if capital near).

If Sargon is still running about, then DEFINITELY build a new Palace with him. While looking on the map recently, I thought London would be a great choice - or at least a city there abouts. We may want to plunk a few cities nearby to take up some unused land near London (like the gold hills!), but it should be a pretty good spot.

Having it near the Russians could help our cause, and, as Grey Fox points out, may help to prevent future city flips.

Also, the extra commerce and production from a Palace and Forbidden Palace that are on differenet parts of the map could allow a democracy soon. If the Russians survive that long!!!

I would build it first thing. It could give us the opportunity to get another leader as we continue to abuse the Aztecs!

Go, Grey Fox, Go!!! Kill, Kill, Kill!!! Muahahahahaha!

Too much caffiene for me today. Sorry. ;)
