Best non-English language movies?

I'm not a big film connoisseur but I saw "Life is Beautiful" years ago and I thought it was an amazing and uplifting film.

I only watched Akira once, but I really feel deeply dissapointed and it indeed so boring, is anyone also share the same feeling like me? I thought Akira is overly overrated, I can't make a proper argument for that because I already forgotten most of the plot and story line, however I remember how I feel bored while watching that movie. But that is my personal opinion and feeling.
