I am working on scenario between World Wars including 31 civilizations on Europe map by Red Alert. I will invite all ideas about these years…I am thinking about 1933 when Hitler became consul.
I need cities and leaders lists of these nations, their leaders and alliances with other nations (first alliance is Axis with Germany, Italy, Hungary and Bulgaria) and maybe unique units:
Great Britain
Ireland
France
Spain
Portugal
Switzerland
Italy
Norway
Sweden
Denmark
Finland
Soviet Union
Germany
Czechoslovakia
Poland
Estonia
Lithuania
Latvia
Belgium
Netherlands
Luxembourg
Malta
Cyprus
Austria
Hungary
Yugoslavia
Bulgaria
Romania
Albania
Greece
Turkey

I already made map(without irrigrations and some roads. I also will invite all ideas about changes..

great idea :goodjob: i don't think anyone has made a scenario that is between the WWs. as for the city list i think you should go to the main Creation and Customization forum and there is a sticky for city lists by Mobile.

Good idea for a scenario. I had a look, and all the cities seem to be well placed.

There are a couple things I'm wondering (that is if you have figured them out yet)

- What will be the goal(s) of this scenario? Start WWII? Avoid WWII?
- Will you be trying to incorporate aspects from the time period (for example, the great depression, rise of fascism, etc.)

p.s. I hope the map works out well for you :)

For Belgium :

Leader
Belgium is a kingdom, you could choose a king as the leader :
Albert I ( 1909-1934 ) would be a good choice. You have to advoid Leopold III ( 1934-1940 and 1950-1951 ), he was too controversial...

But, as the king as really no power, a prime-minister would be a much better choice ( just like choosing Churchill instead of Georges VI ).
Georges Theunis (1921-1924 and 1934-1935 )
Jules Renkin ( 1931-1932 )

The most famous came just before WWII :
Paul Henry Spaak ( 1938-1939 )
Hubert Pierlot ( 1939-1945 )

I would choose Spaak as he was very important, even when he wasn't prime-minister.

You have enough of them to fill the great and military leaders list

Scientific Leaders ( only modern ones )
Ernest Solvay
Adolphe Sax
Jean-Joseph Lenoir
Georges Lemaître

you could also add artists such as
Georges Simenon
René Magritte
Victor Horta

traits : scientific and industrial

UU : the Chasseurs Ardennais, as a modern infantry unit

Cities list :
Bruxelles
Namur
Antwerpen
Liège
Gent
Charleroi
Brugge
Mons
Mechelen
Louvain-la-Neuve
Hasselt
Verviers
Leuven
Tournai
Ieper
Nivelle

Well let's see, Danzig should be Polish, Cyprus was owned by Britain, I would have made Turkey have Mediterranean culture, but since that is more of personal choice, I will leave you alone about that. The German city of "Saabruken" is realy spelt "Saarbrücken". And last but most, I hope you plan on giving everyone a military.

I thought about this on a world map, It was going to cover the various civil wars that ocurred after WWII...the Russian, Chinese, Finnish, Irish, and Spanish civil wars. In mine had I had League of Nations civ, which had Switzerland, Danzig, the Rhineland, and troops in German colonies.

:goodjob: However, I think it will be hard to make a scenario about this time period that's still a joy to play. Or is it the purpose to give the player answer to questions like "What if Hitler was attacked earlier?".

If it will become a scenario that gives answers to "What if...?" questions, then I think many people will like it. Otherwise, if you would let the course of history repeat itself in this scenario, you won't do much more then diplomatic negotations without result.

The Rhineland was occupied by France, not by the LoN- and then it was demilitarised (before the Germans marched in again) - rather hard to simulate in civ3

Hmmm ... Make the Rhineland a Civ permanently at war with both France and Germany (without, of course, making the latter two into the same alliance!). Make the Rhineland unable to build anything but lowgrade infantry. Someone's bound to "remilitarize" it pronto ...

If your doing this, Spain definatly needs to be two civs.

Also, maybe give Austria, no troops, so Germany can annex it, without war exactly...

Rhineland shouldn't be at war at all- shouldn't have any troops but be German- or if not German make the entire Rhineland highly impressed with German culture so that they should succumb to German rule within a short period- make them averse to the French and give them also some no-nationality units as partisans to simulate potential uprisings against French.

Good idea on Austria, Bombshoo- yet I would rather make them also culturally subversive to Germany. In fact, Austria had a small, yet fine army.

Spain should definitly be 2 civs !!!

It's unlikely, but could be possible: let Austria give it's cities to Germany in diplomatic negotiations. However, a Civ can't grant it's capital to another one.

Maybe the cultural way it's better at all, although a capital can't be overthrowed too.

The Anschluss will get hard to fix into the game, I think.
