BOTWAWKI Revised Thread

Oh, excellent, jets! I'm sure we'll figure them out some day, and then the world shall quake before us. ;)

What year is this again? Wasn't in the update.

I believe the year is 2154.

If they did, it'd be in the update.

1. Can you convert scrap parts into ammunition, or just tech parts? Rules kinda contradict themselves on that one, though I'm guessing that you can.

2. Do you need Energy to power the robots that are already active? I.e. would I need to power my Gutsys?

3. Is it assumed energy is stored in batteries as such, for purposes of scavenging?

Sorry if those questions were answered before.

Also, have we found any good spots for a potential outpost near Mountain Home AFB? Or would I need to send a special expedition to look for them?

Could you please put my nation on pause for the next two weeks?...

You can make ammunition out of Scrap Parts, at a 1 SP = 1 A ratio.

I think you only need Energy to make the robots.
3. Is it assumed energy is stored in batteries as such, for purposes of scavenging?
Yeah, it can be stored in batteries (although, I wonder which battery would be able to last 80 years without losing all the energy stored).

Important to all players: Under my current life circumstances I may be moving at any day, starting tomorrow. I have no idea what's going to happen or where I'll be and therefore ya'll need to get orders in quickly. I can't in good faith put up a deadline, but if you want to improve the odds of a speedy update, get orders in.

@Crezth: No, it hasn't changed quite yet.

@das:
1. Can you point out where it contradicts? I know I've changed it since I initially wrote the rules and would like to make sure that I fix any contradictions that exist.
2. After being activated robots do not need any further energy.
3. The odds of finding energy are VERY low overall. It's far easier simply to find working pieces of tech and transfer what little energy they have left into 1 energy.

@Seon: I cannot "pause" your nation, but I will be happy enough to put them on auto-pilot. Pausing is only for the rarest of emergency circumstances.

You can find more ammunition through scavenging or by converting Tech Parts into new ammunition for your guns.

Basically this.

Spoiler :
Greetings, one and all! Praise be unto the Animator who moves us through this Story with the utmost of ease! Let it be known that the Animator has proclaimed His desires more for your pleasure and your laughter than the whole of this world! Reflect upon this and then go and find the laughter He desires you to have with the family you have been cast with!

Now on to our Local events...

  • High Imagineer Gregowski has recently announced the planned construction of a road system connecting Vutg with Winter Quarters and Scofield-On-Lake. Construction is expected to begin in the coming weeks under the watch of Para-Litigators and Attorneys
  • A recent decision to house and communicate with the ghoulish creatures has caused some tension among Vutgans. A representative from R&D has assured that the ghouls will be removed from the city within the year.
  • Rad roach appreciation day has been canceled due to damaged caused by an unattended roach.

and On the Frontier:
  • Intrepid trailblazers have pushed the limits of the Kingdom by establishing the colony of Fairview. Imagineers predict the settlement will serve as a stepping stone to spread the Happy word of Our Animator.
  • We have received reports of Attorneys leaving for Vutg in the direction of Clear Creek. It is believed that they will continue beyond Clear Creek to lands unknown.

Thats it for events right now. Join us later for an in depth expose on the dark wizard Elgroze. Who is he? What does he have to do emerging Character Playing Game (CPG) culture emerging in certain Vutg districts? What of our children?

Until then, we have a series of song requests from throughout the kingdom, starting with what Imagineers Historium believe was the most popular group of musicians from day before Our Kingdom.

Well, seeing as I seemed to have killed enough population... sure.

I don't think I will be able to send in coherent orders for the next two weeks because I am going somewhere where my internet access may be less than ideal.

So to top everything else off, my computer has perished for good this time. No coaxing or repairs are going to bring it back. So at a time when I cannot afford to buy a computer, going to have to buy a new one anyways! Hurray!

If one of you has placed a curse upon me, I must request you remove it, or I will summon horde of the demons of elggerath to smite all that you love!

Well, I placed a blessing upon you, but I guess it's past the expiration date so it's spoiled into a curse.

Most profuse apologies, I will remove it posthaste.

EDIT: Oh dear, it appears to have developed a mind of its own.

EDIT EDIT: Hm... anyone know a good exorcist?

I will exercise my divine right as Moose King and force the foul beast into the deep dark of Moria. Nobody ever goes there anyway, so it shouldn't be a big deal.

Well I have a new computer, and have set a vague date for a move. Unfortunately, I can't update the NES until I have installed the latest Microsoft Office, as I need Access to use the data I've acquired for this NES. It'll be after my move that I can actually get this installed, so, we're looking at me not being able to update until about a week and half from the time of this posting. In the meantime, get those orders in quickly, and I'll do what I can to assure a quick posting.
