[BtS] Dales Combat Mod!

No worries, I shall play 1862AD scenario WITHOUT ranged bombardment. I should have kept 3.13 on for a little longer. My own fault and I suffer the consenquences.
 
Any word Dale, on RTW AOP3? Also what does it add? More different tanks that have become available since AOP2 was released and also the flame-thrower so well as changes to fit 3.17 right?
 
Because it isn't compatible with 3.17.
 
Yes, I've been having the same problem with my mods as well. Thankfully, I'm getting a brand new computer, so now I know not to install the patch when I reinstall BtS.
 
I was going to try to update this myself, but they seem to have removed entire fuctions. For instance, in the CvGame.cpp file they removed the void CvGame::updateColoredPlots() function, which is where the ranged bombardment data is stored.

[EDIT]Ok, it would seem that they moved that code to the new CvGameInterface.cpp file.
 
Most of DCM is implemented in RTW so updating the last would get the first almost updated. Considering importance: In regards to community DCM is more important as it has much more audience. I love RTW, but I play almost half dozen of mods that have DCM within.

Which is more important has nothing to do with which gets updated first. This is up to Dale to decide based on his plan of work.

Number of mods is not the same as importance, 5 mods which are played by 1000 people each still have less audience (and thus importance) than 1 mod played by 20000 people.
 
Ok, I've updated the mod to 3.17. I haven't done a whole lot of playtesting with it, so you guys might find a bug or two that wasn't present in the last version, though I don't see why you would.

Solver's patch is already included, as is Lt. Bob's 40-civ DLL (which includes the global warming changes).
To get the global warming changes to work, you have to edit the GlobalDefines.xml and go to the tag GLOBAL_WARMING_PROB
Add 100 to the percentage chance you want global warming to happen to activate the change. For example, if you want a 20% chance of global warming causing fallout instead of deserts, set the value to 120.

I don't know if I'm explaining myself good. If I download your mod, can I play it without installing solver's patch? or is solver's patch required for this mod to work?
 
I think changes made by Solver's patch are implemented into this unofficial DCM. I dont think you need to install Solver's patch. I have just loaded a game now and I only have the official 3.17 patch installed, not Solver's.
