Bug reports and technical issues

This should work, but I think the turkish UHV should be doable with Konstantinopel as capital and not an ahistoric Bagdad.:)
I guess I will change the goal to three non-expired wonders.

On Iran UHV: (on SVN 670, monarch)

The turn numbers for the UHV on the victoty screen are wrong. (Shows turn -31,-17,-17.)
I'll look it up. Could be that there are no goal turns for respawned civs.

And more important the first UHV is marked as failed after 1650 AD even when having 6 open borders with europeans. Shows goal achieved until 1650 AD. Checked 2 times and I am sure there was no contact lost in this turn.
Sorry, that sounds like sloppy code.

Is it possible to play Civ on Linux? Is it possible to make it faster?
I know these are strange ideas, but I just wonder...:D

Leoreth, I believe this has already been reported, but just in case you forgot:

I don't believe this is intended, but Poland is getting large bonuses to stability from "Religious Unity". In a game I was just playing as Poland, I had a +17 bonus from this.

It's been reported, and I looked at the code, and everything seemed fine, so I considered that done. Seems I was wrong.

I remember you fixing this at one point, but I recently tried a game and noticed that disabling BUG does not get rid of the left of the Science Advisor screen.

I had CTD in late 1400s or early 1500s (but before Iran spawn)...
I re-loaded the saves, try again and still crashed.
Anybody else having these? I might not be on the latest SVN, so chance that it is already fixed.

Sorry, not all features were merged specifically as BUG features.

I'm playing on SVN Revision 670.

I played Egypt and at some point in time, the copper near Sena changes to an Iron. I got messages about the change but I didn't saw any iron. I could see the iron in worldbuilder. When I deleted the iron and placed a new iron there the problem still remained. But I could place a copper. I have a savegame if you need it.

Not sure if this is a bug or an error with installation. When I end a game, the victory map doesn't show in the replay. Instead I just see areas shaded by the color of the civ. How do I rectify this ? I've noticed the same problem with RFCA so I'm not sure if its a bug for this mod. Other normal base BTS games don't have this problem or for that matter in Sword of Islam mod which I installed.

So you see the colors of the civs' territory, but don't see the underlying terrain map?

This might be obvious, but do you have Iron Working?

Damn me. Most of the time it's the simplest solution. You are right, I didn't had iron working. But this leads me to other problems:

1. Because of the switch I lost my only source of copper. This felt unfair.
2. It feels like a bug if you get the message that you discovered iron, but you don't see any.

Possibly solutions:
Only change to iron when Egypt/or the civ controlling the copper has the tech iron working.

Playing on the latest SVN revision earlier today, I ran into some unexpected difficulties when attempting to begin a campaign as the Ottomans. The Byzantine Empire had collapsed before my spawn, leaving Constantinople as an Independent city garrisoned by a lone longbowman. The city's immediate capture seemed imminent, but since I had spawned inside its borders, my units harmlessly moved into the city instead of capturing it.

What was interesting was that in the normal game view, my units appeared to be in an empty tile, culture-wise. But when I went to World Builder, surely enough, my units were standing in the city's territory. I unfortunately don't have the save file for that attempt, but my latest attempt is also suffering from a bug.

The second time around, things went much more swimmingly, as Constantinople was a Holy Roman city, allowing me to declare war through the diplomacy screen. However, after a while, I realized that all of my stability values were at 0, and had been for the whole game. Has stability been disabled again?

The situation with Turkey and the independents might be because of the recent exceptions for founding your capital, I will have to take a look at the exact implementation. In the meantime, spawning at war with the independents will need to suffice.

For the stability problem, do you have Python exceptions enabled? Because a Python error could explain this behavior.

As far as I know, I haven't. How would I go about verifying that?

Open CivilizationIV.ini and search for "HidePythonExceptions". (Set the value to 0)

Was there any reported problems about Mexican 3rd UHV?

Spoiler :

I failed the 3rd goal even with 27pop Mexico city - was the most populous city in that game.

That's weird, the code for the display and the victory check are completely identical.

Can you upload a save (1960 before the goal fails), and in case you're playing with the SVN version, tell me the revision you're on?
