Hey Gazebo. Love the mod. It revitalized my interest in civ 5 and I love the community patch project. However I'm running into a gamebreaking crash.

I have only your CPP with EUI mods, used autoinstaller and everything works.

Started a marathon game as Cesar, and im on turn 891 as we speak.
Now here is the problem. Everytime some of the AI engages in diplomacy on their turn, say it be to trade or denounce me, I crash to desktop after I chose ( get over it/ok we wont settle here, or yes or no to a deal). I've reloaded the game several times and it happens all the time, same way.

Now, I got around it a couple of times. It was japan trying to trade fur. And the crash happened. So I reloaded and made sure to trade him the fur on my turn, so he wouldnt engage in diplomacy on his turn. It worked. So I continued playing 5-6 more turns, but this time I cant cheese around it. It's ethopia denouncing me. And I cant avoid that.

Do you have any idea what can be done. I want to continue playing the mod, and I'm afraid of starting a new game if this is gonna happen again after investing 800+ turns...

Thanks in advance.

Edit: Same thing happend next marathon game as France. Turn 800+ this problem starts occuring

Just installed the mod and cant seem to get it to work. Every time I start a new game and end my first turn, it crashes to desktop without any kind of errors etc. Anyone know what would be the cause of that?

New user here. I have no other mods (I have been using EUI for a long time, but deleted it as it was included in this pack), installed the CPProject Full EUI 10/2 (to the correct paths). Played a SP last night and everything is working. Great mod, thanks to all who had contributed.

Today I started playing my PBEMs from GMR, launched the game through the regular menus, did not go through the Mods menu. This should in effect make me using just the EUI. It looks like this "modified version of EUI" has some calls to methods that are in the CP Mod. Here are the error messages I see in the tooltip

1) when I mouse over a building in the city production list OR in the list of buildings already existing in the city:
"Assets\DLC\UI_bc1\Core\EUI_tooltips.lua:906: attempt to call method 'GetBuildingInvestment' (a nil value)"

2) when I mouse over a current production amount in the city production list:
"Assets\DLC\UI_bc1\Core\EUI_tooltips.lua:2020: attempt to call method 'GetBaseYieldRateFromCSAlliance' (a nil value)"

PS: EUI's previous versions and its latest 1.27c version works fine for me, so in addition to the above error messages, this is yet another reason to make me believe that the issue is with the "modified version of EUI"

Hey there CPP users!
I've identified a bug with map sizes smaller duel and smaller (40x25 hexes) at all game speeds. Whether the game runs 2 turns of 200 turns, everything works just fine until loading the save file, at which point it CTD at the leader screen. I'm using the 10-2 Automatic Installer (EUI Version)

Can someone give it a whirl to confirm?

Gazebo, myself and several of the multiplayer folks performed a few tests the other day. Where could/should I post the logs - would this thread be appropriate? Or should I toss it into the github, so as to avoid cluttering this up?

The Multiplayer Thread (or a new thread entirely). Also, not sure if I've asked, but I'd love a EUI / No-EUI / CP only comparison.

Yes, I did that too. I would really like to play this... maybe I have to put the mod in Program Files instead of My Games under Documents?

EDIT: Oh, and yes, my civ number matches.

I still have the same issue as Caymon (also use windows XP). I've cleared the cache etc before install and used the .exe installer (EUI included), but I get the same results when I manually install.

I've enabled logging and here are my XML, Lua and Database logs;

Not that helpful I guess XD. I have, however, enabled logging as described in this http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=487482 thread.

Maybe it doesn't log because Civ stop working upon loading the mods instead of crashing? I had to unplug my PC and restart it again because I couldn't get Civ to close in any way.

Sounds like a computer issue, unfortunately. I'd reinstall civ and make sure your drivers are all up to date.

My drivers are up to date, and I just tested again and my didn't lock up and instead the Windows Visual Basic Just In Time debugger (or something) popped up after Civ crashed (however the logs still look the same as they did before). I've tried everything, from updating drivers and reinstalling civ, to completely formatting my C drive.

This issue stems from Whoward's DLL, and both there and here I've seen people with the exact same issue and they are almost always exclusively XP users.
It also pops up when using R.E.D. or just Ethnic Units.
I originally thought the issue was an outdated OS (XP SP3), but the main page says it's XP compatible so I don't really know where to look otherwise. :(

It may be a memory issue - the CP uses quite a bit more memory than Civ vanilla, and 32 bit windows may be a limiting factor. Sorry. XP is, to be fair, 15+ years old at this point.

I usually run with kesler's JFD modpack DLC (40-ish civs?) and a load of other mods (E & D, CulDiv, etc), and upon crash civ was using less than 1G of RAM.

I'm just sad I get locked out of the CP and all of the mods that require it. I'm going to regularly check if someone else pops up with same issue (like Caymon), been doing that for almost a year now. :P

Thanks for the replies though, Gazebo! :D

EDIT: even with just the base balancing patch it crashes, so it's definitely not caused by memory issues.

EDIT2: I actually have some crashdumps, should I upload them?

I am afraid that you are right. I remebered you while I was randomly skimming through CivFanatics and found that this mod, which is also based on WHoward's DLL does not support Win XP:

http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=529951

See the "Compatibility" part of the "Installation Guide:" on the first page.

I love this mod. It's absolutely amazing. But I am consistently getting a CTD around 250-350 turns on epic speed. This happens after an AI leader (doesn't seem to matter which one) "contacts" me. Could be a trade proposal, a denunciation, seemingly anything. After the diplomacy screen is closed, the CTD takes place.

I am only using the mods that are installed with the EUI installer.

I have no idea if this line in the xml log is related, but it seems like it might be relevant?

In any case, I will attach the log files and the minidump file.

This is a known bug, and will be fixed in the upcoming patch.
