Simple question.
BBC- British Broadcasting Company
Do you have adverts on the BBC?

Yeah it usually requires you pay a little extra on your satellite or cable bill thou. All of the good programs end up on PBS :king:

I get a few Beeb channels.

BBC America here. Never really watch it, but I seldom watch any TV anymore.

I think BBC world service is hearable on the wireless, as well.

BBC news every night on PBS.

If I'm watching the news at all I'll flip between that and CNN.

I don't think it costs more?

I have been using 'bbc.com' for the past year now. Also, ads only started appearing for about a month now, I think. The ads are much less intrusive than other news websites. In fact, half the time the ads aren't even shown in their respective locations. In the other half, the ads are nice clean flash ads that don't really bother me.

To answer the second question, BBC radio is on every morning in New Jersey. But I think the operating costs are supported publicly.

We get BBCAmerica! Yes, it does have commercials, but it also has great BBC shows and BBC World News, tailored for America.
It also has shows like Torchwood, for the masochistic sci-fi fans like myself. :suicide:

My parents love watching BBC America both for the shows and the news.

You can also hear BBC news on NPR (National Public Radio) late at night over here.

I listen to the BBC on our public radio station at night pretty regularly...other than NPR asking for donations occasionally there aren't any commercials...

The local NPR radio station plays BBC broadcasts at night in my area that are commercial free.

It also has shows like Torchwood, for the masochistic sci-fi fans like myself. :suicide:

Does it really? I love that show. Capt. Jack is dreamy. I hope there is another season. . That old guy is soooo creepy.

Thats the problem of watching shows like Torchwood and Dr Who one the net, you are a year ahead.
