Capto Iugulum: Empires and Nations

To: Venezuela
From: Republic of New Granada

We are willing to wager you are less prepared to wage further war than we are. We offer you 20 EP as reparations, but will give no more. No land will be ceded.

Again you offer only half the damages you caused as recompense. We would be willing to lessen the land concessions provided you pay 10 in reparations over 2 years. But we see no way you can feasably pay us the repair bill for your aggression without land concession.

From: Republic of New Granada

We've suffered just as much as you in this war, and we are prepared to seek outside support in this conflict at this point to assure a fair peace. We will pay 5 EP a year for four years. That is our final offer of any kind.

From Venezuela
To New Granada

So your idea of fair peace is to cause twice as much damage to a neighbor you surprise attacked than you are willing to repay because you have suffered too? Well excuse us for wanting full compensation caused by your aggression. We offered you no ill will, no excuse for your vicious assault upon Venezuela yet you refuse to pay for the damages once you cannot dominate Venezuela?

You are like the child who walked into a store broke the merchandise then argues they only have to pay for half of it because the goods are broken and who wants broken goods? And when the shopkeeper demands the full price for the damage threatens to go find a bigger person to come and bash the shopkeeper?

This is a joke. You can either pay the 40 ep it will take to fully reimburse Venezuela for its damages from this conflict of your making or you can abide by the treaty which was supported by Brazil to make a lasting and fair peace in our region.

TO: Venezuela
FROM: Empire of Brazil
CC: New Granada

It has come to our attention that this conflict is simply out of control and as such we can no longer allow it to continue. Forty EP is a steep price for New Granada, and economically devastating, we do however see it as a fair price for the damages caused. Thus Brazil offers the following:

1. Brazil will make a down payment for New Granada, in the form of 10 EP, or a quarter of the debt owed.

2. No land concessions will be made by either party.

3. For purchasing a quarter of the debt owed by New Granada, the state of New Granada will enter into various trade and diplomatic deals with Brazil, to be decided between the two parties.

If peace is not decided it will be understood that Venezuela and New Granada wish to destabilize the situation in South America further and Brazil will have no choice but to enforce peace by any means.

We fully reject Brazil's offer. A new arrangement is being brokered.

We agree to the peace proposed by the UK provided it also includes the recognition of Ecuador from the previous proposals as well.

To: Everyone
From: Empire of Holy Spain

We recognize China being under the influence of the United Kingdom.

Thank you very much.

On an unrelated note, we are withdrawing our negotiations from the New Granada peace, and we would encourage Brazil to broker a peace.

TO: New Granada
FROM: Empire of Brazil

We offer 5 EP a year to help you pay your debts in exchange for incentives for our nation, including a naval base in the Caribbean.

TBH I don't think anybody cares what Brazil recognizes or doesn't recognize.

To: Oman
From: Abyssinia

Salim bin Sultan of Oman. Would you consider permitting the establishment of embassies between our nations?

To Abyssinia
From: Oman

We will accept your ambassadors.

The United Kingdom and the Spanish Empire have agreed to a Non-Agression Pact for 10 years with the option to renew the pact every 5 years afterwards

Hey. I'm dropping this game. I'm really sorry: I don't have the time to put the effort necessary, at the moment.
