Capto Iugulum

We will graciously accept the Italians and propose the establishment of a bi-national foundation to oversee our nations' continued cooperation in all fields academic and otherwise.

We are glad that you will be sending doctors to learn in our research hospital, we believe the more nations that send doctors the better everyone will be able to learn. As of right now we are unsure of what you have proposed, perhaps we can discuss it more in depth in private?

Italy would like to announce that we see Royalist Hungary, and King Vladsilaus IV, the true rulers of Hungary and not the Proletarist oppressors. We support the Royalists in all moves against the Proletarists in Hungary.

Germany hereby announces that, along with Italy, they will be intervening in the Hungarian Insurrection

With the removal of Spain from the Phalanx we can accept the invite and join in. Also we will be sending troops to Hungary to help deal with the Proletarist threat there.

Italy is hereby declaring war upon you in hopes to keep Europe safe from Proletarist threats and help the Royalist Hungary reclaim what is rightfully theirs.

The Workers Commonwealth believes it is important the world is aware of and understands that previously, with the consent of the German Economic League members, it has provided monetary aid moved through Brandenburg and Austria, with the intent by the German states of aiding the Hungarian proletarists. We are prepared to release government documents produced by our own offices, and those granting permission from Austria and Brandenburg, should it be necessary.

OOC: EQ can confirm this as being the case.

It doesn't matter what they have done in the past, what matters now is they have agreed with us in realizing the danger presented by Proletarists. It would be beneficial if you stay out of our current affairs.

It is highly convenient for Italy, and other nations that seek to stifle the Revolution of the Proletariat, that Germany has "reversed" its position on the Hungarian Revolution. However, we understand it as important to our own interests and the interests of the Revolution in Hungary that the international community be made aware of Germany's duplicity. It is highly unfortunate for Germany's position in Europe as a nation whose formation many powers opposed, that it has already stained itself with this type of double-dealing.

We hope to think better of Italy and those Hungarians who for whatever reason oppose the Revolution of the Proletariat, than that they would stoop so low as to accept Germany's fair-weather friendship. It seems the Hungarian proletarists will suffer the same treatment as the Polish. Will they next face Russian bayonets, as well?

When we crush the Proletarist movement in Hungary we will do our best to insure that innocents will not be slaughtered. Italy doesn't care what happened while Germany was attempting to become united, what matters is they have found clarity in their actions and agree to help us save Hungary from the Proletarists. There is no place in this world for those who seek to spread chaos and take lands that are not rightfully theirs as the Proletarists are trying to do all over the world. This will be an example that, at least Italy, will defend Europe from the Proletarist threat.

OOC: at this point, Germany's ceaseless flip-flopping should be achingly apparent. :p

Indeed. Then it is apparent to us that deception, lies and trickery on an international scale are an acceptable price to pay so that the bourgeouise can continue to oppress those less fortunate in the proletariat, in Hungary and across the world. More important than the opposition to the noble Revolution of the Proletariat that we accept as an unfortunate reality is that it is apparently acceptable to Italy that its ally Germany should lie, cheat and steal so long as it continues to be in Italy's advantage for it to do so. We ask you then, who will help you when the German knife lies deep in your back, as you know it eventually will?

We have never said it was okay or that it benefits us. We never said what Germany did was ethical or right, but there isn't anything we can do about what they did. For the time being we're focused on one goal and won't let something come between an ally that is helping us protect Europe from a greater evil. With that said we don't agree with what Germany did, but we have to deal with it and hope it doesn't happen again.

Oh God no.

We can only regard Italy as impotent, then, to do anything against what is apparently not only Germany's complete incapability to meet up to the simplest of diplomatic agreements but its ability and willingness to force itself on the other nations of Europe. So long as its "allies" are unwilling to stand up to what is a continued and well-developed pattern of German aggression, international provocation, duplicity and lies, then we fear many, many nations will suffer as Poland has at the hands of German greed. We had hoped, even expected, better from both Germany and Italy. It is a sad day indeed, not only for the Revolution, but for your national integrity.

This isn't an act of German aggression, this is an act from Italy to help protect Europe and the world from the chaotic Prolitariat movement.

OOC: Germany is the universal inconstant.

No longer Germany

Edit: and I didn't launder money for you, my orders can confirm this

The Confederation urges that no intervention should take place without the League motion to back it up. We also find the Germans' funding of armed revolutionaries - if it took place - to be rather disconcerting, especially given that they refuse in any fashion to recognise the relatively placid Scandinavian Proletarists.

-

The Holy See may vehemenently oppose proletarianist ideology as anathema to the christian faith, and diametrically opposed to divine truth. But it does not favour a renewal of war in Europe at large even should it be for the cause of removing the pestilence of proletarianism from the earth of christendom.

As such the Holy See wishes to make known that any escalation of the current conflict in Hungary is greatly opposed by us. The states of europe not enthralled with this new error need not make martyrs of the hungarian proletarianists, or cause further suffering to that lands people.
