Capto Iugulum

I would prefer that we do not have a massive war in Europe spawn out of a local insurrection. A massive dogpile on the proletarian held territories in Hungary has a high likelihood of expanding the conflict beyond the local theatre.

Ergo my position is that its better to let those already involved go at it without bringing in others, because even if the war drags out longer it is better in the long run for the greater whole than the scenario of dragging in the rest of Europe into some sort of ideologically charged chain gang war.

I'm a bit confused right now. If Nuke is no longer Germany, I will be taking over for him. I'd like to talk to him first to make sure of this, then I'll have to re-handle a few deals he has made.

No longer Germany

Edit: and I didn't launder money for you, my orders can confirm this

Yet my orders can confirm it, and EQ is aware of the conversations that took place between us regarding it on AIM :crazyeye:

@EQ, if TLK is taking over Germany to be frank I am willing to pretend that the exchange over the Hungarian Revolution and Germany's change of heart never occurred (assuming that is his intention), so long as that is acceptable.

Officially Germany after talking to Nuke. My apologies to everyone for the flip-flop, I didn't expect this to happen.

I will be maintaining any agreements Germany made with regards to Japanese entry to the Phalanx. Positions on the Hungarian situation are to be disregarded for now, and may be continued or reversed after discussion with some allies. I'd very much appreciate if everyone takes LoE's lead for at least a day or so while I get this sorted out.

Should your nation have any recent dealings with Germany, please let me know. It's important that I find out sooner, than later.

This of course, is all assuming EQ doesn't mind.

Apologies again.

EDIT: Also, Circuit, I do appreciate the PMs you sent me. With your permission, I can forward them to any player who might wish to give the Feds a try, unless you wish to.

Any aid to the Federal Government of the United States as it currently stands (the tyrants in Washington D.C) will be viewed as acts of war against the United American Republic. Brazil officially recognizes the United American Republic as the sole heir to the United States government. We extend full protection militarily and economically to them.

Italy is threatening the start of World War Two. We urge you to make them think otherwise. We do not threaten European peace, we only want control of what is rightfully ours, Hungary.
Does Europe want another war, killing millions of innocent lives? I do not think so.

Workers Commonwealth votes for Buenos Aires.

Consider this the 48 hour warning to get those orders in. Remember, new players, gotta get orders in to count as your new nation.

We are not threatening to start world war two, we are merely showing our support for the rightful leaders of Hungary, the Royal family of Hungary. It would not spark a world war, at most it would spark a couple regional powers in Europe fighting. This isn't an attempt to cause a war on a massive scale, it is an attempt to protect Europe and the world from the disease that is Proletarian idealism. We can not sit idly by while another nation falls to Proletarists, and let the plague spread throughout Europe unopposed.

Clearly you have little care for European, or global, peace. If it was Italy's intention not to encourage other powers to intervene directly in the ongoing Hungarian civil war, Italy would not consider its own direct intervention. Doing so will, we fear and believe, open the doors to further direct interventions by Hungary's neighbors. This sort of geopolitical opportunism is dangerous and unhealthy. If Italian soldiers march into Hungary, other nations' armies will follow, and the Balkans will become a massive, multinational battleground.

There is no scenario in which this, as an alternative to permitting the various Hungarian factions and their war to remain a localized issue, is conducive to peace and stability.

We are not looking to pull other nations into Hungary, all we are doing is looking out for the good of the rightful leaders of the nation as well as letting the rest of Europe know that we will not tolerate Proletarian uprisings. They are not good for Europe, the world or the nations they try to take over.
