Capto Iugulum

Or perhaps Brazil would rather the Emperor step aside, and leave the Asian mainland to the growing threat of the Red Army that threatens to bring proletarism to the East?

China does not have to choose between absolutism and proletarianism; Guangxi's very existance is proof enough.

To: His August Majesty, Master of the Chrysanthemum Throne, The Emperor of Japan
From: By the Grace of God, the Three Crowns and the Golden Sword, The King of Vinland

Our concern lies with the dishonourable behaviour of General Wallace. Here is a man who has come to power with the promise of protecting the lands of his liege, only to seize power for himself, proclaiming himself to be the master of America. This is a man whom the Chrysanthemum Throne, by all means, should be disavowing and denouncing. How do you defend a General who takes advantage of his weakened masters to proclaim a new Kingdom of his own?

Hold yourself clear of this matter, your majesty, and allow Dai Nippon to continue her sleep. Let the fate of North America be decided by the North Americans, and not by magnates and power brokers from across the seas.

The Concord will take the opinion of Italy, the United Netherlands, the UK, the Confederation, Vinland and others very seriously.

Furthermore we note the support for Monarchist Spain in Europe by some European powers, though most or all Concord members naturally support the true Spain which is headed by its august King it is worth noting that the government of Spain is at this very moment engaged in warfare with the Republican faction.
Lastly we wish to echo Japan's words on the issues of Florida and Jacksonia... the Denver government is not the one that wishes to annex fellow Republics.

Regarding: The USA (the Denver Government)

Whether or not the resolution of the current diplomatic issue is that of Concord membership or not for the USA government, we note that the USA is at peace, as such no direct or indirect military aid was even planned in the year of 1917 before the recent diplomatic kerfuffle. As such if the Brazilian fleet has already headed into the Pacific this year to blockade the USA or attack any Concord nation it is doing so without provocation, whether it is against the USA which is a nation at peace or against any Concord nation that has not sent military assistance to a nation at peace.

No more order revisions will be accepted beyond this point. New order sets will still be taken.

Sardinia votes for London as the next Olympic host, although we agree with the UK's proposal for future Olympic voting.

Sardinia recognizes the Republican faction as the rightful government of Spain, the Monarchists being nothing more than the result of a military coup. We hope to see peace and constitutional rule return to Spain, which is why our sympathies lie with the Republican government. That being said, Sardinia has no intention of becoming militarily involved in the ongoing civil war, and we suggest that all other nations, regardless of which side they support, do the same. Spain must be left to the Spanish, and having foreign troops fighting in Spain would serve only to further inflame the situation.

The Confederation would like to remind Europe that LCN members are obliged to guarantee Sardinia's sovereignty and territorial integrity by a resolution to that effect passed by the League, and that the Confederation remains absolutely committed to this resolution. Whether League members happen to favour the Monarchists or the Republicans is irrelevant to the obligation of all League members to maintain that resolution, and accordingly anti-Republican League members must not overreact to Sardinia's pronouncement.

The League of Continental Nation's commitment to halting Proletarism in Europe has been tried and found wanting.

If the cogs of tyranny fly over Paris and Cagliari, you will have only yourselves to blame.

We suppose it is now up to Spain to stop the spread of the foul ideologies of Proletarism from spreading their insidious grasp further in Europe.

As we wonder why Sardinia would support a proletarian regime we still respect their decision and will not attempt to force them into siding with the Monarchist government. We also agree that no foreign nations, not obligated by alliances and so forth, should get involved in Spain. Italy will NOT be sending troops to help Spain fight the civil war, but due to our obligations from the treaty we have signed we will be protecting their borders by the sea.

Your skill at destroying the credibility of the monarchist regime is amusing, but really quite incredible. We ask you, how is it possible that the Spanish Republicans can be Proletarists when they are under the government of precisely the same Parliament that governed Spain before the monarchists executed a coup, and which has governed Spain for the last four years? If the Republicans are Proletarists, then Spain has been run by Proletarists for half a decade. We are of the opinion that these Proletarists, if they are so, are the most skilled masters of disguise found in any nation's politics in recorded history.

Perhaps it is more likely that these "Proletarists" are actually liberals (as their party says they are) and that they are defending - rightly or wrongly - the institutions of a time-honoured democratic and constitutional monarchy against the ravages of a military coup?

However, we are glad that Italy respects Sardinia's decision in the matter.

Your Proles that you talk about aren't exactly Proles, more Liberals. But nonetheless, we support the King, and hope you can overcome this disaster, like we did. Italy does much good to the world by stopping the Prole scum. It is a shame they cannot help. Good luck.

Stop defining the Republican government as being affiliated with your damn revolution! You're running the risk of doing a lot to hurt the liberal and democratic cause that we both support in spirit.

We are not beheld to any delusion that the Spanish republicans are proletarists; that seems to be an Italian disease. But if the monarchists fear the vengeful hand of the free people of Espana then they are right to do so. Someday all men must be free. Clearly we agree with you that the republican cause is noble in its defense of democracy.

You misunderstand our intentions if our warning against the tyranny the monarchists would impose in Spain appears to be rabble-rousing. We are merely moved by the plight of the free people of Spain.

The only tyrannical government in Spain is that of Emperor Phillip.

The Republican movement are crypto-proletarists, dedicated to the overthrow of the honourable institutions of Europe by clandestine means and subterfuge.

All proletarists are rebels and all rebels are proletarists.

On another note, the rightful Empire of Spain greatly appreciates the support given to it by the well-thinking nations of Italy and Peru.

Furthermore, it would also like to note that Resolution 001, which regards the guarantee of Sardinia and Corsica, also only guarantees it's independence from a) invasion by an Italian state and b) is void if the League votes to sanction an Italian invasion.

Thus, Sardinia should be warned - if it takes any action against the rightful Imperial government of Spain, it will be destroyed and there exist no legal defences to stop it.

OOC: @Bluebacon: I think it's Italian. It was just so cool I had to throw it in there. :p
