Capto Iugulum

Vinland was probably the most significant neutral nation... let's see, which forces were uninvolved, beyond ourselves and Brittany and Vlaanderen?

Austria. And both sides were offering me shiny things to join in.

My point exactly. We all kind of collectively went "How can I take advantage of this?" and dog-piled in. The result? A horrifically enormous war. Real countries try to avoid this kind of escalation.

We embrace it.

Edit: real modern countries, at least. Which are the ones we presumably live in and would be in charge of.

OOC: I think you can make compelling geopolitical arguments for why this war escalated the way it did. In OTL, the balance of power was less tenuous and more centralized in Europe, whereas in this time line the power is divided among several much more disparate political entities.

Your forces were out fighting in Italy, they weren't neutral. :p

My forces were fighting a minor power in Italy, in a more or less defensive manner. I wasn't too dedicated to the war, and was completely neutral in the Great War. Which I was. :p

OOC:

Good war all in all. Around 2% of the casualties are actually mine. So while you guys were bleeding yourselves out and destroying your economies fighting, I got away relatively scot-free and with more than 200% growth of Japanese territory.

TO: Oman and Yemen
FROM: Brazil

If any action is taken against the Arabian Empire, an ally of the Brazilian people and hero of the Great War, there will be unfathomable consequences for that action. Enemies of Brazil lose, always.
