CCM1 (epic mod)

In the next Version of CCM the Gripen is the last fighter for Scandinavia. I temporary attache a screenshot from the techtree of the next version.

Just reached the game time limit, getting a win for the British Empire, but I'll keep playing to see the rest of the game (am only at pre-WWII tech). Everything so far so good, no bugs.

I do have a couple of sugestions:
-the battleship Nelson should be slower. It was very tough and well armed, but it was notoriously slow, only 23-24 knots, at a time when everyone else was building BBs doing 27-29 (and even faster in 1940-45). The ship spent the war escorting convoys and doing naval bombardment, because it was too slow for any other duty. I would suggest changing the speed to 5.
-the Hood is too strong, defence-wise. At 16, it's defense rating is almost as good as the King George V, a far more modern ship. The Hood had WWI armour, which is what killed it. I would suggest dropping it's defence rating to 14, the same as a WWI dreadnought.
 
I think that "Pacific Fleet" is kinda too OP, the ships are too powerfull. Make it produce less or make them weaker. Played as US dominated 6-7 other navies. Also played against US AI and it also dominated water in 4 different games.

jlvfr, please don´t forget: The Hood has only 2 HPs, while the King Georg V (and other battleships) have 3 HPs. Nevertheless the stats for the ships will be adjusted in the next version of CCM. When looking at my spreadsheet for the unit stats of the next version, BC WWII will have a defense of about 12 (the same as WW1 Dreadnoughts).

The problem with the MV-points is not so easy. Predreadnoughts have a MV of 5. Dreadnoughts should be faster, so MV 6. The Nelson Class is about as fast as the WWI dreadnoughts. On the other side enlarging the speed of fast WW2 battleships to 7 would have too much influence to the speed of other units and so on. I will reflect about MV 5 for the Nelson Class. :)

In the next version of CCM, the wonder will produce Superdreadnoughts for all civs (most of them civ-specific thanks to Delta_Strife´s many new units): p.e: Queen Elizabeth Class, Bayern Class, New York Class, Fuso Class, Bretagne Class, Graf Daun Class and so on.

Risk getting slapped on the wrist, BUT

Have you considering using Wyrmshadow Private Contractor (Blackwater guy) ??
"He" could be a flavor unit for western (and perhaps all Europe) civs instead of the Guerilla, that sounds and looks more like South American style. The Civ standard Guerilla even have a AK-47 what I can see, so the Blackwater guy fits in more nicely in the western world.

Hi clamel, I haven´t considered using Wyrmshadow Private Contractor and in that case the units are fixed for the testing at the non-public forum: The partisan, the guerilla, the vietcong and the mujahideen.

I´m now waiting for some ships of Delta_Strife and some leaderheads of Sandris and than I will upload a test-version on a non-public forum at CivForum.de so the new files can be tested and the mising text-files can be written. I hoped this could have happened at eastern, but now I have some weeks of delay. The land- and airunits for the next Version of CCM are closed.
 
Hey so I don't know if someone else has already said this (but I couldn't find it) but when I download the .rar file, there is no "text" or "sound" folder-and the game crashes on mod loadup. I can't find the files, or anyone else that his this issue-maybe I'm an idiot :confused: but I'd like to play this-in fact I remade an account so I could ask lol :lol: There's probably some easy solution to this but I'm not finding it (the crash message is always in reference to Angkor Wat, but I suspect that's just because it's the 1st wonder in the list of text files). Thanks mates! :D
 
Hi Afroman98, welcome at CFC. :band:[party] and thank you very much for your interest in CCM.

For operating CCM you must download the CCM-mainfile (759 MB zipped), that defenitely contains text and sound folders and you must also download the CCM-biq v1.8 from 06-04-2014 (this file of course doesn´t contain text and soundfFolders as it is the biq for that mod).

You should install the CCM-Folder from the CCM-mainfile, containing the text and the sound folders into the C3C Scenario folder and you should also install the CCM-biq into the C3C scenario Folder.

Both downloads are necessairy and must be installed properly to run CCM.

Here is an old screenshot about installing CCM. I just now renamed the CCM Folder to CCM Betatest to distinguish it from the upcoming next version of CCM, which will not longer be a betatestversion, but the real CCM 1.0 (therefore some special testing in that non public forum seems to be necessairy)

 
I downloaded the entire .rar file, which as far as I can see, doesn't have the sounds or text files in it I have a screencap of the rar open in 7zip, here you go...

I got all the installation stuff done-I'm really fairly good at this, and I've been playing mods basically since I got the game (in like 2003-dang where's the time gone haha), so I'm just not sure what I've done wrong :(

I made a testdownload of the mainfile when I did install it and the sound and text-files were in the folder. I just do another download to see what happens. This will last about 15 minutes.

Edit.: The testdownload is finished. The mainfile.rar contains the text and the sound-folders with their files. So Afroman98, it seems something is wrong with opening the rar-file with 7zip. When I remember correctly, some years ago there were reported some problems with that zip-program, especially in compatibility with other programms. So may be you should open the file with win.rar.
 
The primary problem with 7 zip is the users OS. Anything WIN 7 and under, no problem. WIN 8 and 8.1, your going to have issues. My recommendation would be to get WinZip (it's free) and use it for the rar.
 
Hey guys-thanks for the thought to re dl it-it turns out my crummy internet had crapped out halfway through my original dl and gave me only part of it-my art files stopped after w or something-so it was my own fault the whole time. I've played it for a little while and it's great fun-y'all have done an outstanding job on it, great job! :D :goodjob:
 
Hello, how are you fellows.. I have seen the posts concerning USA pacific fleet overpowering abilities and I am very happy that the USA just came to be Conquered by its neighbors including me :p so the seas will still be free to take for every one :DDD
 
This surely nothing that is with CCM alone (I think)

However it´s kind of strange issue trying to get a peace treaty.

First it´s a peace-treaty where I demand a smaller city. That´s OK as the first photo shows. However being kind I think I decided that I might offer a bit more throwing in Military Tradition for my part.

Ooops, NO the germans wasn´t cool on that. Rather just give up a city, getting nothing more than peace.
I do believe it might be some strange issue with the game itself, so perhaps some of you have seen similar thing before. It was my first and it surprised me.... AI hickup ??

C3C never accepts any goods in exchange for towns. this surely was supposed to stop the stupid AS to trade away their towns, as i believe they did in earlier versions. however, it also leads to the somewhat strange result you noticed.
